.Last evening around 7:15 Chicago time, our beloved Aunt Kitty went home to be with Jesus after about a six month battle with cancer.
Her husband and three girls were all around her singing hymns. While they were singing Amazing Grace - - - "When we've been there ten thousand years, bright shining as the sun - - -" Aunt Kitty breathed her last and went.

Oh, Keetha, I am so sorry.
I have prayed for your Aunt Kitty when you have posted about her.
May God send His love & comfort to all of you.
With love & prayers & hugs,
Jackie
What wonderful timing...I hope I go Home to the sound of His praises too.
(((((Keetha))))))
I'm really missing here today - - - tears are right there - - - but I would not wish her back to suffer one moment longer.
"My hope is built on nothing less Than Jesus' blood and righteousness.
I dare not trust the sweetest frame
But wholly trust on Jesus' name.
Oh Christ the Solid Rock I stand
All other ground is sinking sand,
All other ground is sinking sand."
(words by Edward Mote)
So sorry for your loss, Keetha. She sounded like a wonderful woman. What a comfort Christianity is! It's the only faith that gives us this hope.
Praying for comfort today. Even when we know that our loved ones are no longer hurting it's ok to be sad that they are no longer with us. It's a blessing to know the difference.
(((hugs)))
so sorry for you loss. My prayers are with you.

You and your family are in my prayers. I wish there was something I could physically do. (Us southerners just want to back a darn pie or fried chicken and bring it over!)
We are so sorry Keetha. I know how much the loss of her must hurt right now but know you sure didn't wish suffering for her to endure.
Once again, distance separates us from being close enough to show how deeply we care for you and the loss you feel right now. I am so sorry and know you are in our thoughts and prayers.
Thank you all for your very kind words.
I shall miss her dearly.
I am sorry about your aunt. Knowing she is with Jesus has to be a blessing to her family - even in the midst of the pain of having her gone.
Much love,
Kathy
Keetha-I'm sorry for you and your family's loss. I am thinking of you and praying for the entire family. That is beautiful story of her going home during the song Amazing Grace.
You & your family are in my prayers.
Im so sorry.
I missed this post. As a follower of yours I now read through bloglines and I dont know how this one was overlooked. I was praying for her. And now, Keetha, she is free. Free from cancer, with her Lord and singing amazing grace from the Heaven's above.
To you, my condolances for your loss. May her zesty spirit for life, sustain your own.
Thanks for all these supportive words, Leigh.
