Many of you have asked where in the world I've been.

All I know is that after 7 plus years of blogging and a different lappy, which I don’t like, I seem to have lost my blogging fervor.

Someday, when you least expect it, I will post again.

For those of you still waiting I say thank you.

Meanwhile, I am rather prolific on twitter. Find me: @KeethaB

And Then She Got REALLY Angry

.

I'm talking about the Wisconsin River.

She is ANGRY!
Snow melt-run off

And heavy rains

Have filled her banks to overflowing.

Only the ducks don't mind.

No one is sitting on her park benches these days.

Sunday she was angry and up out of her banks, but Monday she was beside herself with rage. Here are some comparison photos:

Sunday at the fishing pier.

Monday

Same fishing pier.

Sunday - house along river shore.

Monday - same house, but oh my look at the shore!

Since this is what MY Tuesday looks like, I'm linking up to "Tuesdays Around the World" at Communal Global.

Wow! Is she subsiding today? I think there's more rain in your forecast for tomorrow & Thurdsay...
What is housed in the cool bldg that has the water lapping at its lower level?

She is a mighty river and your photos show an angry river. The photos one day apart are amazing, of the fishing pier and house. I hope you are on high ground.

Don't get too close Keetha!

Ducky weather indeed.

She does look angry! I hope that everyone will stay away from the river and keep safe. Sad that people's homes are hurt :(

WOW! Water can be a scary thing. It's fine in small amounts, but don't want to be near alot of it at anytime!

Great pics!

Oh my, I have never seen the river do this and I lived less than a block from the Great Wis. River, with all her dams and paper mills going....in St. Pt. But, that was years and years ago...thanks for sharing the pictures with me....I will be up in the Point in Aug. for my HS reunion....45th...God Willing...
And, here in High Point, we are getting ready to have more thunderstorms and the temperature is cooling way down.....
Have a great evening in the tundra turning spring....

Oh my goodness. Fisherhubby won't even have to go fishing now...the fish are being washed right up onto the doorstep. Now if he could just get that angry water to gut and scale them too! Lol.

You're in Wisconin. No wonder we get along. Some of my family's from Milwaukee. I sure hope she's happy - or, at the very least, apathetic - by now.

Wow! We could use some of that water here. We are under a burn ban and it hasn't rained in months. But I don't really want a flood! I hope fisherhubby wasn't planning on using that dock!

Wow. That's crazy. I hope it calms down soon.

Looks like she was beyond angry by Monday. I hope everything is getting back to normal for all of you there. Praying that it is so.

I saw those storms on the weather channel and wondered if you all were going to experience some flooding. That's quite a bit!!

YICKS!!! So does "she" feel better yet?

Your words remind me of that Chiffon Margarine commercial..."It's not nice to fool Mother Nature." :)

Hope your Wednesday is a little drier!

Oh wow! Holy moley. I had heard about the flooding in North Dakota but not Wisconsin. Does this happen every spring?

Becky @ Rub Some Dirt On It said...

Wow! We have some flooding up here in Vermont but nothing like that! Great photos--don't you just love how Communal Global brings people together? :)

The Wisconsin River is just doing its thing, like the Red River in the Dakotas and the upper Mississippi in Minnesota. On the plus side your grass is looking greener. Spring is here.

Danyelle said...

Wow, you're not kidding about the angry part. We had to cross the Mississippi (I'm in Arkansas) a couple weeks ago and it was high, but not nearly as turbulent looking as our Wisconsin.

Wow! Awesome pics!!! Thanks for sharing those!!!
