Many of you have asked where in the world I've been.

All I know is that after 7 plus years of blogging and a different lappy, which I don’t like, I seem to have lost my blogging fervor.

Someday, when you least expect it, I will post again.

For those of you still waiting I say thank you.

Meanwhile, I am rather prolific on twitter. Find me: @KeethaB

Mom Update

Still with us but thinner, less alert, less cognizant, and has more tissue breakdown.

Dad continues to be amazing.

Thanks to all of you who have been so supportive.

I pray so for your dad and all of you. This is such a hard thing to go through and to watch. Having just done it, I know how part of you wants them to stay and part of you knows they are going home, and want them to go.

Did you go see her today?

Thanks for sharing about your mom on your blog. That takes some courage.

I know your dad much better than your mom, but I've heard repeated about her spunk and wit and strength. Everything I read here bears that out.

And yes, I'm one of the folks who can vouch that your father is one of the most selfless and gracious human beings on the planet.

Again, I'm grateful to have a place to check in for information. You're in my thoughts.

Yes, I went to visit with dad after school today. There really is no more "visiting" with mom.

It is very difficult to watch this - - - but we are all at the point of BEGGING God to let her go to sleep and go home to be with him.

Ach. That should have said "I've heard repeatedly . . ."

Couldn't leave it be. I'm a professional editor, after all.

Thanks for these comments, Joel.

Also - - - LOL that you came and corrected your grammar. I must confess I DID notice it, but was only shocked that YOU were the one who wrote that. Whew, we can all sleep restfully in our beds tonight now that you corrected it!!!

I am SOOOOOOOOOO bummed that I didn't get to meet you when you came to town this summer. Next time, please get that twin sister of yours to give me a shout out.

I've had your mom(and whole family of course) in my thoughts and prayers all week. What a time for school to start, can't decide if that's a blessing of a distraction or a untimely bore for you. Hang in there sweetie!

Keetha, I promise, next time I'm in town, we'll try to figure out a way to meet. Maybe I can stop by Lakeview and see you in the lab -- which is outfitted much, much, much better than it was 20 years ago.

:-)

Though my lab facilitator and I have cleared, cleaned, and organized that space, I cannot take credit for setting it up like that. I inherited the "hardware" as it is. It is great.

I do hope to meet you soon - - - at the lab - - - or someplace tastier like Starbucks. :-)

Will always remember how John & Beulah had arrived for your college graduation, after driving from IN, he mopped your kitchen floor, helped cook supper and then helped with dishes, after which he sat down to relax and of course, fell asleep. Bless his heart. He is for sure, Saint John.
