Many of you have asked where in the world I've been.

All I know is that after 7 plus years of blogging and a different lappy, which I don’t like, I seem to have lost my blogging fervor.

Someday, when you least expect it, I will post again.

For those of you still waiting I say thank you.

Meanwhile, I am rather prolific on twitter. Find me: @KeethaB

The JOYS of Winter

AKA "Winter Therapy For My Bloggy-Friend Julie"

You may all read this if you wish, but it is specially created for Julie who is going through mid-winter-mind adjustments just now.

Julie, as I have already told you,
There is much JOY to be found in winter.

Scroll down to find multiple examples.

There is joy in
The stillness,
The quiet,
And the whiteness of snow.

There is JOY in winter activities:
Snowball fights
Making snowmen
Sledding
Skating

There is JOY in leaving your tracks in the snow - - -

And in bringing them inside.

There is JOY in warming your hands
Around your favorite hot drink - - -

While you warm your toes
By the golden glow of your fire.

There is JOY in cuddling
With your favorite blankie
(Snowflakes optional)
In your favorite chair,

Especially when you have
Sole possession of
The remote control.
This is quite possibly
The most important JOY of all.

Smile
In sixty short days
It will be mid-March.

Good job!!! If all we look for is the bad, the good passes us by.

THANK YOU Keetha!!!!!

This post was definitely needed, and quite possibly my favorite post ever!

Can I just tell you how glad I am that we are "bloggy" friends? :)

And I love, love, love that blanket! I curl up with a cozy blanket every night. The hubby has threatened to buy me a "snuggie." I personally think that sounds like a fantastic idea!

What a clever post! Great idea!

Thanks so much for visiting Gatherings. Yeah, those cooking ingredients leave me puzzled. I don't think any stores here in South AL carry any thing like that!

Please come and visit again! It's great to make new bloggy friends!

...but I still associate that blanket with yucky stuff.

LOL

Keetha Broyles said...

That's because you have such a phobia of yucky stuff

What a sweet friend you are to cheer up someone who has those winter blues!

How smart of you to take possession of the remote! :)

Keetha Broyles said...

LOL Nancy - - - either I get possession of the remote, or hubby will put the TV on fishing shows 24/7.
