Many of you have asked where in the world I've been.

All I know is that after 7 plus years of blogging and a different lappy, which I don’t like, I seem to have lost my blogging fervor.

Someday, when you least expect it, I will post again.

For those of you still waiting I say thank you.

Meanwhile, I am rather prolific on twitter. Find me: @KeethaB

You Can Stop Worrying Now

.
I'm just in time for Boomama's tour.

Some of my bloggy fans were a bit horrified when they heard that I had not started decorating for Christmas yet.

Well, you need worry no longer. Just look what I did around the house today.

Besides - - - I will leave this up until nearly Valentine's Day, so WHAT WAS THE HURRY???

If some of these pictures look familiar - - - like deja vu - - - it's probably because they are!

I am a true creature of habit, and tend to put the same little treasures in the same little places each year.

And since I posted a few pictures last year, and the year before - - - you may well have seen some very similar ones then. (BTW - - - this little wooden candle tree is one of my faves - - - I've had it for YEARS and YEARS and still love it. The picture does not do it justice I'm sad to say.)

I do have a confession to make while I'm at it - - -

While I DID get out all these decorations, and packed up the nonChristmas "stuff,"

And put all the boxes back in the closet - - - - I DID NOT get the tree decorated yet. It is still standing naked, except for its lights, right in our family room.

(Later addendum: Tree's decorated now - - - see the next two posts for pics and details of THAT process)

That's what I plan to do tomorrow evening after school.

I hope.

And with that, let me just say:

Merry Christmas to all,
And to all a good night!!
.

It's all pretty, but I especially like how you decorated your staircase, both the garland and the nutcrackers.

Pam said...

You moved the pie safe across the room - did Greg lend a hand with that undertaking?

Julie said...

Everything looks so beautiful!! I love the garland going up the staircase. BTW: The train you were asking about-the track clamps to the center of the tree (at least that's what my resident handyman said). I think we bought ours at Lowes. Your grandson would LOVE it!

I can see my Nutcrackers made a hit!!! But could anyone see that ONE of them is a fisherman nutcracker???? Hmmmmmm - - - I WONDER who that one belongs to!!!!???

Pam - - - help schmelp - - - Greg set the tree up, lit it, AND moved the furniture all by his little ole self.

Oh yah - - - and he ran the vacuum too!!!

Thanks all for visiting my Christmas open house.

Looks great as always, Mom!!!

I have a memory that involves that little wooden candle tree. One year around Christmas time, we had the candles lit for Sunday dinner. My awesome friend, Angie, was holding her foam plate up while you were dishing her out some food and her plate caught on fire!! Remember that?!?

And is that a picture from last year or did you get more snow?!

I must say that while your tree isn't completely decorated yet, you do an awesome job with the lights! Wanna come do mine? :)I also love your collection of the nutcrackers and your wreath...which has snow on it! Send some our way to TX, please!! Merry Christmas!

Thanks for stopping by my house yesterday! I had already seen yours, but didn't take time to comment on people's homes because I was desperately trying to get through so many. I had yours bookmared to come back to because of the name thing! I had thought the same thing when I Stopped by your place. My name is actually Hebrew and means crown, but also the first manifestation of God.Its pronounced like Heather with a K. What about the origin of yours?

Wow, you're really fast at decorating! It took us all morning just to get a swag up :-)

Really enjoyed your photos and got a kick out of the "life size "hubby -on -the -couch -wrapped -in -Gators -blankie -holding -Gators -hat -on -lap" Christmas ornament" that we can't have because you've almost got him just how you want him. hehehehe Good one!

Thanks for swinging by my blog today. I'm certainly enjoying this party! Getting some great ideas from those of you who are more together with the whole decorating thing. I have high hopes for next year!

Hello there from Switzerland....or more importantly, the place above yours on Boomama's list! Thanks so much for visiting. I think it is going to take till March to get to see everyone's home. Have you seen how many there are now??
I absolutely love the way you decorate your stairs! Back home in England, I have that same little wooden tree, and like you it is one of my favourites. We do have stockings, by the way, So do people here who I have met. The slippers were a fun gift my sister's friend made her in Christmas fabric one year, so they always come out!
Merry Christmas!

Hello Marion - Ft Wayne here :) Your house is lovely, and thank you for sharing that your tree isn't ready yet. Looking at all the houses decked out to the 9's was making me a bit insecure! Merry Christmas, and thanks for coming over to my place too :)
