Many of you have asked where in the world I've been.

All I know is that after 7 plus years of blogging and a different lappy, which I don’t like, I seem to have lost my blogging fervor.

Someday, when you least expect it, I will post again.

For those of you still waiting I say thank you.

Meanwhile, I am rather prolific on twitter. Find me: @KeethaB

Missing Shannon

This post is for Shannon.
All the rest of you may peek in - - -
But it is for my friend, Shannon.

Shannon and I taught together
For the better part of one school year.
Then she went away to become a new mommy.
She would return sometimes to bring me lunch
(Great friend that Shannon!!!)
And we had a couple of "girls nights."

Then she moved away.
Far away.
And she is getting ready (maybe)
To move even farther.

Today is your birthday.
I just want to do my little bit
To make it more special.
So, since blogging is my spiritual gift,
I'm making this post just for you.

For your birthday I wish for you
Courage and strength
On this part of the journey.

You are loved!!

Awww... how sweet! I don't know you, Shannon, but you must be a very special lady if Keetha thinks so highly of you. Happy Birthday.

This was so sweet. Since I just had a neighbor move away, I can totally relate to someone leaving

Happy Birthday Keetha's Friend!! :)

Thanks again Keetha! I have cried many tears in the past few days trying to really seek God's plan. Life was so much simpler hanging out with middle schoolers! I can't believe how little Halle looks in that picture!

Shannon - - - God will open the right doors. It's just difficult sometimes for us to wait on those doors. Halle WAS little in that picture!!! Remember - - -you carried her in her little carrier and were also trying to balance my lunch!!!

Did Shannon teach at LCS ?

Keetha Broyles said...

Yes, Jackie. She took Michelle Hawk's place and finished the year when Michelle had Eily.

Jackie said...

ok. thanks. i just don't remember her. I remember michelle being off for Eily, but nothing after that.
(I'm old.) :-)

Well, by then Jackie, you didn't have Blake at the school any more, so I'm not surprised you don't remember!!!
