Spring has not yet truly arrived in north central Indiana. Just last evening, as I was wrapping my hoodie jacket more tightly around myself while battling the wind and walking up and down our cul-de-sac, I thought: "When will it ever be warm enough to wear capris and sandals?"
Well, the UPSIDE of it still being cold is I don't have to worry about a pedicure yet nor remove my winter's growth of leg hair. There is great solace in that.
Today at school I took one look at my good friend Vickie. Isn't she just the cutest little thing? And she's gracious, and godly, and sweet, and funny and kind and well, she's like A TOTALLY RIGHTEOUS FOX, isn't she???
Anyway, back to my story. Today at school I took one look at my good friend Vickie and realized she didn't get the memo - - -
You know, the memo that told us it was still too cold so go ahead and keep your winter hair growth a bit longer and don't worry about those spring pedis for a few more weeks.
She is TOTALLY showing me up.

i guess i didn't get the memo either. i've worn flip flops every day for the past week/week and a half. i even wore capris a couple times to work last week!
my word veri is "their" i love when they're actual words!
Well then, girl friend, you are showing me up too!!! How can you STAND flip flops when it is as cold as it was yesterday? I thought the wind was going to CUT ME IN HALF when I walked on the cul-de-sac. I wore a TURTLE NECK today for pity sake!!!!
Your friend has really cute shoes! Well, it's like summer here right now!
Flip flops are all we need!
Keetha, I'm still wearing spandex under my jeans!! It's cold!
I'm with you Jewel!!!! I already admitted that I wore a turtle neck today - - - now I'll add that it had a sweater layered OVER IT too!!!!
I'll keep my winter fuzzy legs a bit longer, tyvm!!!! :-)
Thanks for posting about me Keetha. You are way too kind! You know, if we all start wearing capris it might start warming up. I am going to think positive!!!
You go girl!
I'll let you think positive for me!!
Flip-Flops? Capris? Oh, I can't wait....Although my boys are wearing shorts today. (Don't ask, apparently when it's hits 60 in Ohio it's a heat wave for them!)
I enjoy flip flops and capris too Julie, but it is TOOOOO cold here for them NOW. (At least I think it is, apparently Haley and vickie have a different opinion.)
My d-i-l moved on February 2 in Maine in the Snow in high heeled sandals.
Me? Gimme the BOOTS!
I think it's our generation - - - we don't want flip flops in the snow, nor in the cold either!!!! But the kids at school??? Flip flops all winter long even here in Indiana.
I've only ever seen Haley wear flip flops or her UGGs or slippers!
I've worn my flip flops and capris a few times this spring already. :)
