Many of you have asked where in the world I've been.

All I know is that after 7 plus years of blogging and a different lappy, which I don’t like, I seem to have lost my blogging fervor.

Someday, when you least expect it, I will post again.

For those of you still waiting I say thank you.

Meanwhile, I am rather prolific on twitter. Find me: @KeethaB

Here I Sit Like a Bird in the Wilderness - - -

.

Pretend I'm sitting at that teacher desk,
Only put a lot more work piled up beside me.

Imagine these desks EMPTY,
Nary a student in sight.
(Exactly like this picture!!)

And you got it,
Picture this lab EMPTY.
Not even one mouse stirring.

Now close your eyes and see
The REST of the school
Just as empty and forlorn as my room.
(Except two administrators,
One who is working out in the gym
And one who is sitting in her equally empty office)

Yep - - - there is a two hour fog delay today.
Only I didn't get the news until I was already here.
I guess that's what I get for coming early.

Oh well - - -
Just think of all I'll get accomplished
In the next three hours if only
I get out of this blog-o-sphere
And get at it!!!

.

That stinks that you didn't know about it! At least you'll have a peaceful two hours by yourself!

Haley - - - I could tell you the OTHER down sides of teaching, but I'll hold my breath.

Julie - - - it was THREE hours, I had come in an hour early. I got LOTS accomplished.

A perfect day to sleep in, if you'd known! At least I would have!
Hope you accomplished some stuff after the priority of blogging. ;)

Oh, NO! I'm so sorry!

Sigh. Well, I hope you got lots of work done and enjoyed your two hours of quiet!

Yes, Brenda, it would have been GRAND to sleep in, but that was not to be.

Keetha, I did accomplish A LOT in the quiet with no interruptions!!!

I wanna know who the poor kid is who has to sit at that desk in the middle of the lab with the partition thing around him!!!

I love that you are at school blogging. THAT is dedication :)

I hope you had a great day Keetha. Thanks for sharing pictures from 'inside' your world.

A fog delay! I've never heard of such a thing. Your room looks like a great place to learn!

Keri - - - that "desk with a partition around it" is called a study carrel. There is another one on the back side. Kids earn the PRIVILEGE of sitting there at special times - - - like taking a test or working on seat work.

Erin, we get thick pea soup fogs around here from time to time. There have been car or bus wrecks because the vision is so poor, so now if its bad enough they call a fog delay.

Were you not informed because you had to make up for your time in Florida? (smile) Nice room. I wish there had been some kind of delay today at school. I was subbing in 8th grade science ... I much prefer 7th grade English.

Well, I know you are enjoying the peace and quiet. As a former teacher, I've been there. There were days I prayed for electrical outages, snow...you name it!

We need to get you down South to warmer weather Girl!

I always thought teachers had wild and crazy parties when the students weren't there. Hmmmm, I'm kinda disappointed to learn you don't. I wonder what else I'm wrong about. ~Brian

Well Brian, if there had been ANY OTHER TEACHERS THERE we MIGHT have had a wild crazy party!!!!
