Many of you have asked where in the world I've been.

All I know is that after 7 plus years of blogging and a different lappy, which I don’t like, I seem to have lost my blogging fervor.

Someday, when you least expect it, I will post again.

For those of you still waiting I say thank you.

Meanwhile, I am rather prolific on twitter. Find me: @KeethaB

Spring Break Tropical Adventure

.

It was cold and blowing winds were driving rain when we set out last evening on our tropical adventure. You'll have that in Central Indiana in March. We were just thankful we didn't see any snow flakes.

The friends who went with us on this adventure were Keith, named after me - - - - WAY after me - - - and Janell. Keith and Janell are the parents of two of my students and they "bought" me at our school auction.

Here's how THAT works, they bid on me and paid the school for me. Now my part of the bargain is taking them out for an evening. This equatorial adventure was my end of the deal.

Our tropical destination was Red Lobster, which is of course as tropical as you can get here in the midwest, far from any sea shore.

Janell and I sported our Wisconsin gear, both being native Badgers. Janell is also the friend who gave me a Wisconsin blankie for Christmas.

We enjoyed shrimp, lobster, crag legs, tilapia and steak in the tropical paradise known to others simply as Red Lobster, then we headed over to DeBrand for dessert.

I've raved over DeBrand before, so shall refrain from doing so here other than to show you the delights in which we indulged.

I had a semi-sweet hot chocolate with whipped cream and a dark chocolate candy wafer on top.

It was yummy.

Fisherhubby had a four shot Americano espresso in a cup big enough to swim in.

Gourmet miniatures - raspberry, mocha (with the face), and apricot. I'm telling you, you've never had anything like these unless you've been to or ordered from DeBrand.

Deluxe caramel apples. Granny Smith apple wedges and almonds around a chocolate cup filled with the butteriest caramel I've ever tasted.

I ate every last bite!

well, thanks, KD, I gained three pounds just reading that post, and that was before the photos booted up. Yum, yum, yum----from the UP.

By the way, Green Bay's women got to the second round of the NCAA tournament as an at large pick, defeated tough Virginia in the first round and lost the second round by 4 points. They led almost the entire game.

OK, I am impressed with Fisher Hubby's ability to drink a four shot coffee. If I had done this, I would not have been able to sleep until the summer solstice.

Also. The video? My son and I have so much fun making people say reeeely obnoxious things. If you spell things in an Hispanic accent it will make you fall out of your chair laughing!

Bought and paid for. Love it. You didn't mention if there was a bidding war to get you!!

Your tropical dinner sounds like it was fun, which is all that really matters - well except for exceptional chocolate. Exceptional chocolate is all that really matters. What were we talking about? I've forgotten now.

How much did they have to shell out for the pleasure of your company? :)

Your evening dinner and desserts sound so great....I haven't been to a Red Lobster in ages..I am now having a craving for their yummy cheese biscuits!! Thanks!

Who are you pulling for in the NCAA tourney? Since MIZZOU bit the dust, I am now cheering for KState. Their double overtime win last night was fantastic.

I've been taking care of little grand kiddos tonight, so I've missed most of the bball action.

Have a great weekend and watch out for parents waving money at you! They probably have heard you are great dinner company!

I think I gained a few pounds just looking at the photos.
I was just thinking today that I would like to go to Red Lobster- I haven't been there in FOREVER. Those chocolates are works of art!
Hoosier hugs,

That had to be an extremely fun night! Man, your husband's cup is huge. He must've been wired for hours after that.
The caramel apple slices look de.li.cious!

I suppose we must have places like your Red Lobster over here somewhere but I don't know where. Maybe I could open the first Red Lobster in England. Would I make my first million, do you think.

BTW, my hubby must have been named in anticipation of you gracing the earth at some point in the far-distant future. He's a Keith too! Oh, they're crawling out the woodwork now!
