Good Morning! It's only about an hour until we leave for the airport to head home.
I just wanted to send you a few Costa Rica "shots" so you'd know I did remember you while I was away.
First of all, we saw lots of these. Only, most of then were the real thing. One day there was even an entire parade of them. Whenever I saw them, I thought to myself, "Self, Fisherhubby will be VERY glad they aren't headed to his ER!"
I know how you love the beach, so here is this photo, just for you. The kids saw a couple walking and fishing, but I did not see them. In fact, there were very few people besides us on the beach. You would have LOVED the isolation of it.
Can sea grapes grow up into small trees? I kept seeing these things whose leaves looked like sea grapes, only they were trees.
Most of the coast line wasn't beach. I was sure there were lots of big fish hiding near these rocks somewhere.
One morning I saw this man pulling his fishing boat through the resort. I'm sure you will not be surprised to know that I flagged him down and asked if I could take a picture of his boat. He was a little irritated with me, but - - -
His Costa Rican fishing guide was more than happy to jump right out of that SUV, tell me to get INTO the picture and snap these for me.
Oh my, how much would it cost for us to pull YOUR boat down here? Let's not even think of it, shall we?
I'm sure this is a bird you also had in Florida - - - but which one??
And last, yesterday in the barrio I saw this sight which made me think of La Saline.
OK - - - by the time I get there it will barely be tomorrow and you'll be working in the ER - - but I'm not going to school on Wednesday, so I'll see you soon!!!!
