Many of you have asked where in the world I've been.

All I know is that after 7 plus years of blogging and a different lappy, which I don’t like, I seem to have lost my blogging fervor.

Someday, when you least expect it, I will post again.

For those of you still waiting I say thank you.

Meanwhile, I am rather prolific on twitter. Find me: @KeethaB

Going - - - Going - - -

.

We started out this morning (5:30 for me) with all our furniture still in its place. About 9 AM, that began to change - - - drastically.

My dad and our pastor came to help, and it didn't take long for things to get "going."

Going - - - going - - - out of every room!!!

All that sorting and packing we did for the last couple of weeks paid off.

Some things boxed to "go" with us. Some things boxed to "go" to the mission for resale. And some things (this is PART of them - except the jacket, that belongs to Pastor Mark) to "go" to my friend Vangie's antique booth.

Oh, as I was boxing these things up to go to the antique booth - - - I THOUGHT of all of you who love to thrift, and I gotta tell ya - - - I'd have GIVEN you my "stuff" if you'd just have come to PACK and CARRY! (That's just like "cash and carry" without the cash.)

Then the Arkansas Bull Frog began to get his fill. I can tell you, he ISN'T hungry tonight!!!

And this??? This is our PASTOR with his sleeves rolled up, down in the belly of the whale - - I mean frog, loading and adjusting the load!!! Does YOUR pastor do this for you??? Oh goodness, we are going to MISS him and his family.

Thank you, Pastor Mark! You rock. And roll.

About 4 PM, the Bull Frog hopped on down the road. Mission accomplished.

We are totally exhausted.

Tomorrow we "get" to clean.

(See Brunhilda and Borris' "take" on today here.)

Keetha, you should have slammed that door while Pastor Mark was in there and taken him with you:) He would have forgiven you! Rest some if you get a tiny chance! HUGS!

Moving is so hard. Looks like you had great help. B & B are hiding out and are OK in case you missed them!!

I'm amazed that you did all this and blogged, too. YOU rock!
I hope everything arrives in one piece!

I am tired from just reading your post. I can imagine how you must feel. Moving is one of the worst things. In your case, going back home makes it all worth it.

Hope the Big Wind moving through the midwest hasn't slowed your plans. Good luck with the move. Looks like you are on task.

SO weird seeing your house like that!

Wow! You are really going! :) I'm sure there are such mixed emotions. But what a gift to get such a sending off party from your old students. No doubt it was a reflection of the love and fun you put into teaching. :)

We'll miss you in Indiana. Have a safe trip!

I have moved one time to college and then back to Dothan. So my relationships have stayed pretty much intact. But, I can not imaging leaving the community that I have invested so much time and work and blood sweat and tears in. The family that was your work friends, and the family that was your students...and church friends...I know it will be difficult.
So, I don't really have any words of wisdom to say to you. Except that CHANGE can pretty much go the way you want it to. If you are bitter (not that I for one minute think you are)...it will be a hard and difficult change. But, if you are ready for adventure (which I am sure you are) then change will be fun and exciting.
Let me, then, say blessings on you and hubby as you go through the next few days and weeks. May the road to your new home be smooth and detour free! Just know that there is someone way down in AL praying for you!

YOu were very brave to have your camera out in the midst if packing and moving. If it had been moi, I would have set the camera down somewhere and the men would have "accidentally" packed it up with my blue phrog collection and I wouldn't have seen it again until next spring!

Doesn't it amaze you that all your belongings fit in a truck?
