I have had such a fabulous response to my Thrifty Vintage Thingies "Teas" post that I feel, yes I really do feel that in the interest of "hones-tea" and "integri-tea" I simply must make a confession here.
They say confession is good for the soul.
I just hope it is also good for my bloggy friendships and that you won't all DESERT me, leaving me high and dry in a cyber wilderness waste land.
OK - - - are you ready for this?
Here goes:
I have never ONCE used my tea things for a tea party.
Shocking, I know.
In fact, I have never even sipped tea from any of them!!!
Instead, they sit around my home as eye candy.

There. Now I've said it. I've bared my tealess soul to all the blogiverse.
Oh I do hope you, my bloggy followers, don't disappear right and left over this.
But if you do, that will be the price I pay for brutal, unabashed, "hones-tea".

Keetha you are too funny. Eye candy is just fine. Do you not like tea? Or never tried some really yummy blend? I admire your hones-tea!!
Too funny girl...I don't use my stuff either...just something for me to dust before I take a picture of it ha ha!! Hey give me my old mug any day....hugs and smiles Gl♥ria
Some of my tea things I've never used. I seem to have favorites and use those over and over again. I now have a new blog after making a goof of a mistake on the old one! My new blog is Cottage Palette. Please check it out when you can and update my link if there's one floating around in here. LOL
I was trying to figure out what 'hones' had to do with 'tea'.
I mean 'hones tea' is that sort of like'sweet tea' or 'herb tea'?
I was totally bumfuddled, K. But, you can't fool me for long...eventually I figured it out.
But now I don't remember what the rest of the post was about...oh yeah! Tea pots! Never use 'em, myself!
I'm afraid I will break something good!! And like Gloria, I like a big mug! So you are okay!! ;-)
xoxo

So what are you saying? Are you a Tea-totaler?
you should start using them - with your granddaughter .. ahve a tea party with her maybe once a year - easter is a good time .. make little finger sandwiches .. she'll remember it forever and no doubt do the same tradition with her little one.
My cousin's house was swept away in Hurricane Katrina, but she kept finding little things in her neighborhood that we hers. One of the things she found was her grandmother's china. It had been packed away in a large box. When she found it, not a dish had been broken, yet it was several blocks away from it's original location. She unpacked the dishes when she got home and put them in the cupboard and uses them every day now. :)
This has nothing to do with your tea set :) but it reminded me of this story. I think I'm going to use that story for Friday Fragments!
Have fun looking at your tea set - I don't use half the things I have sitting out either :)
I love the violets on your tea set and I love your hones-tea even more!
I don't drink tea, unless it is sweet and poured over ice.
Me too, I only have one teapot that I have actually put tea in.
I like them for decoration.
WOW! all of that looks sooooo good!!!
OK, well you'll just have to be forgiven I suppose. In fact I hope you HAVEN'T sipped tea from these three particular items. We usually have ours in a cup. Sometimes we put a saucer under it to rest the spoon on. Or to drink out of if you follow my late dad's example. He was always getting in trouble for that.
But a tea set this pretty (have you got matching cups?) ought to be used, at least for best, but not by anyone under 16 or of a nervous disposition.
