Many of you have asked where in the world I've been.

All I know is that after 7 plus years of blogging and a different lappy, which I don’t like, I seem to have lost my blogging fervor.

Someday, when you least expect it, I will post again.

For those of you still waiting I say thank you.

Meanwhile, I am rather prolific on twitter. Find me: @KeethaB

We'll Meet In the Middle, 'Neath That Old Georgia Pine - - -

.
When Kamma and Papoo (you may call these folks grandma and grandpa but 'round these here parts that "ain't" their names) live more than 7 hours away from their grans it takes some extraordinary planning to get to spend time together.

A couple of weekends ago, in order to return our grans to their mommy and daddy we decided to meet in the middle - - - in this case "the old Georgia pine" was Exit 59 in Hoffman Estates, Illinois - - - a northern "burb" of the Big Ole Windy City.

Fortunately for all of us - - - all three generations - - - there was a Red Robin at the exit where we could share a little food and fellowship after our long car rides and before our next long car rides home.

Mama Keri was ecstatic to be reunited with her little "chicks," Mackinley and Piper.

We settled in to scour the menus for delightful morsels with which to assuage our budding appetites.

Around us was much ambiance.

Ambiance and atmosphere.

Mr. Red himself presided over all.

Then there was a carousel horse,

And even Miss Liberty waving her space-age torch.

The waiters had ready smiles
And the onion ring towers were feats of construction genius.

The food was OK - - -

None of us went home hungry that day.

I'm linking this little peek into my world,
The world of Central Wisconsin,
To YOUR world at Communal Global.

Keetha....we LOVE red robins! It's a great place to take little ones for sure, except for when the bird comes around and freaks them out!! Thanks for following on the Road Rash 2011 Blog! Glad to have you join in on the fun!

I think I've only been to a Red Robin once, but I might be thinking of Johnny Rockets. Now I'm not sure. Well, next time I find myself near a Red Robin, I will be ordering onion rings. Those look good, not to mention a fabulous presentation!

The kids sure do look happy to be hanging out with the Grans and the folks :)

Oh Keetha, I am having more fun reading through your blog. Love your many travels. So when I saw that tower of onion rings... I knew you were at Red Robin. My very favorite place to eat here in Phoenix!! Yum!
Cindy & I were saying that the next time I'm in WI, we'll have to make sure the three of us meet up somewhere and visit till the cows come home!!
