Many of you have asked where in the world I've been.

All I know is that after 7 plus years of blogging and a different lappy, which I don’t like, I seem to have lost my blogging fervor.

Someday, when you least expect it, I will post again.

For those of you still waiting I say thank you.

Meanwhile, I am rather prolific on twitter. Find me: @KeethaB

One Last Birthday Fling

.

Our friends Shawn and Stephanie went out with us last evening for one last birthday fling for me.

We went to Cafe Mulino which is a cute little Italian place in what used to be called The Mead Inn.

We had a great time, and the food was good - - - though NEXT time I shall order something really Italian and not necessarily the "special" of the day.

When I was growing up in this town, "The Mead Inn" was a synonym for elegance. It was the classiest place in town. George Mead, then CEO of Consolidated Papers, had it built so he would have a place to entertain guests of the (his) paper mill.

Needless to say, I never darkened its doors back in those days.

It is no longer called the Mead Inn having become "Hotel Mead & Conference Center."

I was happy to see that it is still a very lovely place.

Does this mean you're not having any more birthdays?

Nice place to eat! Great decorations and great company...you can't go wrong there!

Seeing that you are on top of the NFL, have you been following the Denver Broncos awful season/coach! What a sham...er, shame.

It does look very elegant indeed. Yes, order Italian----as you get older, just request a bib. From someone who knows.....

That looks like a very posh place, whatever it's called! Oooh I do like posh and I do like Italian. I just wish they would leave the black pepper mill on the table so I can have a little sprinkle whenever I feel like it. We have a very nice Italian restaurant near us too but last time I was there I was right next to the air con unit and I was freezing.

We're dedicating this whole year to celebrating both my 60th birthday and our Ruby (40th) Anniversary in October. Know what that means? I can buy myself all sorts of treats and say it's for one thing or the other. That's not selfish is it?
