Many of you have asked where in the world I've been.

All I know is that after 7 plus years of blogging and a different lappy, which I don’t like, I seem to have lost my blogging fervor.

Someday, when you least expect it, I will post again.

For those of you still waiting I say thank you.

Meanwhile, I am rather prolific on twitter. Find me: @KeethaB

Color Me - - -

(graphic from

Our trip from Indiana to Wisconsin through the dead of the night went off like a charm.

Well, there was that one time when Fisherhubby's boat trailer lights stopped working - - - but he pulled over and fiddled with them for a few minutes and we were off to the races again.

Even Chicago was kind to us. That'll happen when you hit it at 4:30 AM and folks with BRAINS in their heads are still snoozing in their beds and NOT driving through the loop.

We did pull into the Wisconsin Welcome Rest Stop and snooze for about an hour. That was wonderful.

So - - - it is NOT the trip here which is overwhelming me. Nor is it the packing that we did back in Indiana, nor the cleaning either - - - those tasks are checked right off the old list.

No, what is overwhelming me today is trying to imagine WHERE IN THE WORLD we will put all our earthly possessions in that tiny duplex. Even after drastic sorting and weeding out - - - the stuff from our two story four bedroom home is going bulge out the walls on our duplex.

Oh well - - - if we cram all our furniture in there, slam and lock the door, I guess Fisherhubby and I can sleep on the street in the bed of his pick up truck.

The Clampets have arrived in Wisconsin Rapids.

Dear Jethro and Ellie Mae, so glad you arrived in one piece. Make sure you get Granny off the top of the truck before you pull it into the garage tonite so she won't bump her head!

Very funny, Keetha. Oh, and you too Snappy Di!

Our problem was the complete opposite...we left our little one bedroom apartment for our 3 bedroom home with 2 storage sheds and was amazed at how the house filled up. How we had all this stuff in that tiny apartment I will never know. But I'm glad to hear you arrived safe and sound. Too bad you moved right before trick or treating or else a caveman would've come to say hello.

Well, when we moved into this house... I was determined NOT to take everything with me! What did I do? I rented a storage building and packed a bunch of it there until I got ready to get rid of it! So, I would load up one room with stuff and keep the rest free! Big hugs and hope you get a tad of rest sometime soon!

Just go fishing:)

Please tell me that you are not on top of the truck in a rocking chair!! Wow, even I am exhausted from all your packing and moving (It is a nightmare to move, we did it a year ago)Best wishes...

Welll.....One thing to look forward to. If ya find oil, you'll be able to afford that mansion. Course then, the kids might all move back home. Sounds like a adventure:) I know you can handle it:)

I'm sure you'll get it all figured out and not have to sleep in the truck lol But that's pretty funny!

Oh goodness! You've moved too. I'm still not settled, and have been here for several weeks now, but each day it looks more livable and more like home. Hope you get everything necessary into your place and it's homey again real soon.

This is only the 3rd house we've lived in in 39 years so we're hardly serial movers but moving had always been chaotic UNTIL we came here. This house is so much smaller than our other one that I was determined to be super-strict about what came with us and what got chucked. And I was, truly I was, but we STILL had too much to fit in and it's taken us 8 years to finally decide we can't chuck any more

You totally cracked me up here. I can see you sitting on a rocking chair stacked up on a pile of furniture.

Layering. That's the solution. And attaching things by hooks to the ceiling!

What a funny post!

Thanks for a morning smile!

Ahh back to the northwoods. Glad you made it. Now on to the next phase - but relax for a day or two. Remember a week ago the winds started to howl up here and continued for several days. At least you are ahead of the snow.

I can't believe you are moved and are no longer a Hoosier! I guess now we can call you a cheese head! How are you doing with the transition?
