Many of you have asked where in the world I've been.

All I know is that after 7 plus years of blogging and a different lappy, which I don’t like, I seem to have lost my blogging fervor.

Someday, when you least expect it, I will post again.

For those of you still waiting I say thank you.

Meanwhile, I am rather prolific on twitter. Find me: @KeethaB

Not Packing Yet - - -

.

No offers on our house, YET.

Folks have been asking if we're packing for our move.

Not yet - - - we're doing something even better - - -

We're sorting out and hauling away junk. The other day we sorted Kyle's bedroom and the computer room closets.

Today we worked on our bedroom closet. Every single bit of junk removed is that much LESS to pack.

No - - - we don't do yard sales. We just haul our junk to the mission or throw it away.

We need energy for all this sortin', haulin', and throwin' - - - so today I have a pot roast in the crock pot.

YUM.

I don't do this often, but when I do, I'm a pot-roast-extraordinaire-kinda-gal!

This used to be our kids' FAVORITE dinner.

Oh my Keetha,
I know that is one of the hardest parts. The sorting and cleaning and deciding what to keep and what to give away.
Making me tired just thinking of it.
Hang in there,
Cindy

I'm really proud of you for hauling stuff off. It will make your move so much easier.

I threw away a LOT of stuff when we moved too but not near enough. I get waaaaay too attached to ridiculous items. I need one of the Hoarders organizers to come work with me. I need help!

My heart is with you as you make this happen!

Good for you Keetha! Clearing and sorting and recycling by taking to the thrift is great!! I love a pot roast in a crock pot so much!

God bless you in your move. Selling a home is such a stressful thing to do.

Moving is the best time to get rid of stuff. It is a good motivator.
Dinner sounds wonderful.

I'm not moving, but I sure need to go through and get rid of stuff! I seriously have too much stuff!

Good for you. Sometimes people just move their junk from place to place, at the cost of expense and trouble, and storage space.

Mmmm...I'm really good at sorting and cleaning out. And eating pot roast! :) Need any help?

We must be sisters: we've held one group garage sale in our lives, and it was so not worth it! Much better option to give stuff away or to simply realize that it is ready for the dump. Seems like it was just yessterday that we were doing the very same - minus the pot roast!

Love cleaning out and hauling off! Gives you a fresh feeling to de-clutter! Enjoy that roast, looks yummy! When we are busy with ballgames, the crockpot is my bestest friend!

HUGS!

OH that will make it so much easier when you do move! My DH still accuses me of moving the junk from one house to another....I threw out a lot of junk before we moved. It's just that he and I differ on our definition of the word junk! :-)

It's something that has to be done when you move - have a really good no-holds-barred clearout. It's like having a tooth out with no anaesthetic - it's for your own good. Our problem was books: hospice, charity shops - we gave away almost 700 books because I knew there would be no room in this house (I was right). OUCH!

.....and isn't it horrible when viewers don't make an offer on your house? Why, your house is perfectly wonderful - isn't it? You get the well-known syndrome named "WHY-WHATS-WRONG-WITH-IT?

Good luck with your "sale". I do hope you get the right price. Also YAY! for decluttering

I"ve moved fast and I've moved slow. Moving slow, decluttering, giving stuff away, is the way to go. Moving fast hurt less in the beginning but I swear I'm still sorting and it's been 5 years!

I recently painted my room and I was packing up and clearing things out (to ease the painting process) I threw away slash gave away so many things! I didn't realize how much I got rid of until I was moving back in! It was a very wonderful feeling. :)
