Welcome to Keetha's place. Come on in, kick off your shoes, and sip a latté. His grace is new each morning. (Late Summer Wisconsin Sunset - photo by Keetha)
Boy have I noticed...and when you camp, it seems like there is sooo much more! Glad to see you had a safe journey home!
Yep...it takes a week to catch up on laundry after a week in the mountains...sometimes I wonder if it is worth it...LOL...NOT Really. It is, just hate the work when you get home!
I wonder how the laundry grew because I swear I never take that much. and the lingering campfire smell, I seem to bring that home too.
The camp fire smell takes SEVERAL showers and laundry cycles to go completely away, doesn't it????
Just once I would love to see what it is like to have a servant do all of the for me. I won't hold my breathe!
I always need a vacation after my vacation.
I just saw your comment above. I was about to say, I seem to wash a lot of the camp stuff 3 times. I'd soak it in the washer but have one of thse newfangled front loaders. Spose I could soak it in the laundry sink though.
Yes! It's kind of like the journey TO somewhere takes forever but the journey going home goes quickly.
Glad you made it home safely!
It's like a million things that came from a million different places in the house all need to be put away as soon as you get home (run on sentence) because you can't get through the door without tripping over something.
Glad to know you're home.
Keetha, Come on over to GrannyMountain and pick up an AWARD! Love your blog...
You are on a roll girl. Stop the laundry and count your awards. I think it is great when someone recognizes you for a job well done. I know you had a good time on your trip, but glad you are home safely.
Ha! So true, and you never think of the laundry that faces you while packing!! All you think about is fun fun fun!
the laundry always takes me by suprise!!
Glad that you are back.
Since I am usually getting 4 people ready to travel plus ALL of the other stuff, I don't enjoy that process either. It takes me about an hour into the trip to start relaxing.
And yes, there is a terrible mess when we come home but NO stress involved in laundry.
That's probably why I rarely ever travel... Oh, and you asked if those kitchen canisters, the last ones, were ceramic? Yes, they are. And I picked them up at a garage sale a few weeks ago for the sum total of $5.
its kinda like
i dont mind putting the dishes in the dishwasher but hate putting them away and i dont mind doing the laundry, just dont want to put it away, the difference is which is weird that my husband told me is that it is funny, we dont mind putting gross dirty dishes in or dirty laundry think it would be wanting to deal with the clean , not the dirty
ah but your piles look so neat and organized, note already sorted colourwise, smoke on smoke. :)
By the way I still haven't unpacked from college.. granted I did have only 1 week between moving home then leaving for Cambodia.
Jewel, unpacking is overrated.
