Welcome to my Friday Metamor"phrag"sis post.
There are so many phrags metamorphing around in my brain that I just have to share them with you.
In fact, it would appear that this little ole blog is turning into one long metamor"phrag"sis, as phrags appear to be all I'm capable of these days.
So many thanks and shout outs go to Mrs. 4444 who makes this meme available to us each week. After you finish here, be sure to follow the links over to her place and see what kinds of phrags are metamorphing all over blog land.

Maxzilla, like all of his (her?) kind is quite an architect. In a matter of 15 minutes he was able to remodel himself into this beautiful pupa (chrysalis).
I'm especially fascinated by the golden jewels he (she) weaves into the top third of the "building."

Our "pet" chipmunk, Chippy, who used to live in our back yard has disappeared. We are pretty sad about it as we did so enjoy watching his (who turned out to actually be a her) antics. He did, however, leave us a surprise which has sprouted up in our window well.
We are letting his sunflowers grow - just for fun - and to remember him by.

I had my hair cut and color appointment this week. There is NOTHING quite like the "make-over" of a new do.
.

I just wish THIS part - - - where Tracy is gently arranging my "locks" would last longer.
BTW, Tracy is da bomb. No lie.

I have been a BAD Kamma and have passed my poor speller gene on to my grandson Mack.Oh Mack, how I WISH I would have given you a GOOD speller gene - - - I remember struggling with my own spelling words back in the day.
I also remember while doing my homework shouting out to my parents: how do you spell _____? Only to hear them reply: USE THE DICTIONARY!
And I'm sure it is NO HELP AT ALL to tell you that in just a few short years, after your spelling classes are over, it WON'T MATTER at all if you can spell or not 'cause spell check and google will take care of all that for you.
Sigh.

SOMEBODY in this family drives a candy apple red Durango AND has covered it with Badger pride. Then the other day SOMEBODY noticed another vehicle with a BIGGER Badger helmet on it. True, that vehicle just had the ONE bit of Badger flair, but still SOMEBODY felt passed by.
Hmmmmm - - - SOMEBODY better get on the stick and find a bigger helmet for herself.

These are my cute little "summer" salt and peppers,.
.
And these are my cute little flip flop corn on the cob holders.
I NEARLY forgot to put these fun summer ornaments out this year!!! Fortunately I thought of them in late July and got them out.
Since summer doesn't end until September 21, I can enjoy them for nearly two months.
Whew.

The three "children" that have joined our family via marriage are gems. We couldn't have hand selected better spouses for our three married kids. This is Jason, the first SIL to join our family. He comes up with little witticisms which his wife, Keri, has dubbed "Jasonisms"
This is one of those.
Funny guy that Jason.

This evening the Seahawks are playing the Packers at Lambeau Field.
I doubt that I need to remind you that THIS is the Packer state, and nearly everyone here is a RABID Packer fan.
Except for me of course - - - I'm pulling for "my boy" Russell and am proudly wearing my #3 Seahawks jersey all day - - - even when we go out for supper tonight.
If you don't hear from me on this blog again for more than two weeks, you better send a search party out to look for my bludgeoned and bloodied body in some ditch or woods where the Packer Backers will have left me when they are finished with me.
I do kid.

Fisherhubby "tried" to burn our house down this week by turning on the patio light and then forgetting it.The flammable problem was THERE WAS A ROBIN'S NEST ON TOP OF IT.
.
.
I don't know how many times he had told me "don't turn on the patio light or you'll set the house on fire."
Then HE did it.
.
Fortunately my "bloodhound" nose saved us in time that this was all the damage that was done.
First time EVER that Fisherhubby was thankful for my bloodhound nose.

Your fragments are always so interesting! Loved your 'critter stories', first the sunflowers left behind by the chipmunk, then the bird's nest fire...
Wish.I.could.share.rain! LOL
Obviously, there is never a dull moment at your house.
Love that your chipmunk left you a sweet surprise!
Love the hair do!! And the SIL's isms.....
And remember Kamma.......sometimes spellcheck makes one word entirely another one 😄
Exceptional frags this week. But I must say I LOVE your new 'do' and color!! It's gorgeous. And looks very nice.
Oh, and by the way, my husband is a bad speller too. He's always asking me how to spell this. His motto: "When in doubt, always ad an 'e'."
Sad part of this whole computer/google lifestyle these days, kids aren't learning diddly. I hear they are not even teaching them to write [cursive] in some states. What a shame.
Wow. You were right in writing that you had lots of fragments this week. I liked the shot of you while getting your hair done. I changed my hairstyle recently. It's very short, and I had a trim this week. I still don't like it but I do like the fact that whether I like it or not, my hair is ready to go every morning in last than five minutes.
I can always count on you for a few smiles:)
I am getting the hair treatment tomorrow. I'm a bit nervous because it is very long. I will have before and after next week.
That fire stuff is pretty scary. Crazy birds:(
Your grandson may not be a great speller but is is adorable and I bet he is great at something else:)
Have a fabulous weekend.
Oooo Fisherhubby messed up!!! I'm so glad you have such a good nose.
Great set of frags! Caterpillars are truly amazing things, aren't they? Sorry about the chipmunk but sunflowers are indeed lovely flowers. Good on you for getting your hair done. It is one of my favorite indulgences. I loved the Jasonism .
Have a great Friday!
:-)
Traci
I haven't forgotten you but I have not been reading blogs much lately---it's been a busy summer and I've been out of town too much for my liking. Anyway, that's quite interesting about the bird nest going up in flames. Wow. Enjoyed your frags as always. Nice hair do!
Hahahaha, we once were asked to help light the new grill at a friend's house for supper. Hubby ended up melting the siding on the backside of the grill. I am so glad you found the problem before the house really did go!!
So funny, this week I did join Instagram with my new phone. Not sure what I am supposed to do now though.
Love the new do!!! Very attractive!
I super love your new do Keetha!
And you are brave wearing that jersey out on a Packer game night.
Glad Greg didn't burn your house down, silly man.
Dan wore a packer coat at the Minnesota State Fair and actually started getting harassed...too many Vikings fans there.
Come visit me too, I miss you!
Cindy
Oh my your house! So thankful you, fisherhubby, and everyone are safe and sound! Yes, football has started around here again... oh joy!
This post had me laughing and crying at the same time...Keetha overload. I have lots of Monarchs photos on my blog, your grandkids might like them. We have had very few this year...great hair cut!...love instagram comment. And wow about the fire...Men! Another reason they should always listen to us! Enjoy these last weeks of summer!
If you look closely you'll see there are also "gems" around the bottom quarter of the chrysalis!
Even after hours of working on spelling every day this week, Mack's first test score was 67%. :(
Great frags! I know what you mean about the frag post being the only thing I post all week. Really, my frags could be whole posts, but I just cant seem to make the time to sit down and put them in a few single blog posts. Love the graham cracker witticism. He sounds like my hubby! Always with a great one-liner.
Yes, I have night crawlers in my refrigerator. Luckily, it's the spare fridge in the laundry room! Love your haircut. Thank God for the bloodhound nose!
The lesson of the caterpillar to butterfly is a most amazing science lesson. I didn't know the chrysalis was made so fast. I figure it would take a day or so. Good thing I'm not a caterpillar. I might never make it to butterfly. "Yeah, I'll do the chrysalis next saturday"
wow, keeping up with the Badger fans. That sounds never ending.
Being well past baby robin time I guess you could of removed the nest an easier way than setting fire to it.
What a fun post. I love the days at the hairdresser. I'm going next Thursday and I'm looking forward to it already. Have a great week!
Oh my, we had a birds nest on top of one of our motion lights and my husband removed it due to being a fire hazard. Then another nest was built but we haven't removed it yet. I better do that tomorrow. That's kind of scary! You are a brave one wearing another team's jersey in Packer land! Our pastor is a Packer fan and most of our congregation is Vikings, of course. We have some friendly ribbing going on during football season. The Packers always seem to make it into his service at some point or another! :-)
Boy oh boy, what an exciting place your home is. The robin's home is exciting too, except it is no more. I am glad you have a good sense of smell, who knows what you'd be posting about now if you hadn't caught that .
My husband was cheering right along with you, but then we live pretty close to Seattle. :)
The little sheep look right at home there, and I bet they can't help but baa happily as they watch your family fun.
As a matter of fact, I too have fishing worms in my fridge tonight. Too funny.
Love your summer decor, but especially your Badger Pride.
SEcond only to raising awesome kids, I assume, is the relief that they married people who fit nicely into your family; I'm happy for all of you.
Thanks for linking up! :)
