Many of you have asked where in the world I've been.

All I know is that after 7 plus years of blogging and a different lappy, which I don’t like, I seem to have lost my blogging fervor.

Someday, when you least expect it, I will post again.

For those of you still waiting I say thank you.

Meanwhile, I am rather prolific on twitter. Find me: @KeethaB

There Will Be No Picture With This One

.

It is not often that I make a post that is all serious and deeply reflects what I believe.

This is one of those rare posts. Read on if you are still interested.

Those of us who serve the Lord often do so without knowing how He is using us in the lives of others. We simply serve Him because we love Him, as He first loved us, and we want to obey.

Sometimes the road of service seems a long and thankless one. And yet, we are admonished in Galatians 6:9 -
"And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not." (KJV)

Every once in a great while, the Lord lifts the veil, so to speak, just a tiny bit and we are enabled to see a glimpse of how He is using us in His plan.

The following quote, which will end this post, is part of an e-mail I just received moments ago. It is one of those veil lifting moments for me. I share it, in a slightly edited form, with you by way of encouragement that you "not be weary in well doing" along the paths of your life.

I want you to know how much I love you. Although I haven't been able to spend significant time with you in years, you remain one of the most influential people in my life. When my mom was sick as I was growing up, you were my mom. When my friend got diagnosed with cancer(they were in the 4th grade), you were my substitute teacher and comforted me. When the difficult issues of my childhood were coming into the light, you were the one who brought the truth of Jesus' healing to my life. Keetha, you have been one of the few constant Godly influences in my life. I have a deep love for you and for your family, for the ministries you've been a part of, for your heart to serve God in any capacity.

Thank you for committing yourself to the call of Christ and thank you for investing in me. You were, are, and continue to be a light in the darkness.

That's really touching. Faith, love, and service - it's the Jewish way, the Christian way, the only way.

Blessings to you, Keetha.

There is a song that I remember from church, something to the effect that you are the only Jesus some will ever see. Beautiful reminder.

What a gift! I hope you print that out and save it because this came straight from someone's heart! Sometimes He shows us how He's using us and I believe He certainly showed you!

Keetha, before I read this I was thinking about how much I like you and how I feel drawn to you even though we are only cyber-friends. And this confirms that feeling that you are doing exactly as Christ intended for us to be. Merely a consistent light in darkness and you are that.

Good to hear. I wonder if I've failed to write some similar e-mails that I should have. Keep up the good work.
