Many of you have asked where in the world I've been.

All I know is that after 7 plus years of blogging and a different lappy, which I don’t like, I seem to have lost my blogging fervor.

Someday, when you least expect it, I will post again.

For those of you still waiting I say thank you.

Meanwhile, I am rather prolific on twitter. Find me: @KeethaB

Sunday at Home

.

For me not much beats a good Sunday afternoon spent in my own home.

How delicious is it to find a good book, an afghan, and snuggle down in your own comfy spot???

You can watch something on the telly (thank you Brits for THAT expression), or read, or nap.

On Mother's Day I believe I will indulge in a nap.

Someone who took this photo was not smart enough to get her toes out of the scene.

Just a few words about my "scene."

We moved in here with all the bits and pieces of furniture which we've accumulated over our lives together. I didn't even buy new curtains - - - but made do with what we brought from our last home. While I LOVED those lace curtains on the cheery yellow wall in their FORMER life, I wasn't so crazy about them on a white wall - - - so I threw on the "scarf" for color.

Hmmmm, still not my favorite look - - - BUT I saved my "pennies" for purchasing some new old antiques instead.

And, since we are renting this little duplex, the foot traffic marks on the light carpet were worrying me to death - - - so I practically recarpeted with inexpensive runners and rugs.

I'm sure it will be a trend setter, y'all!!

;-)

Another cozy spot for a lazy Sunday afternoon is my Football Cave down in the basement.

Lately Fisherhubby has "pushed me out" of MY space and turned it into his guitar playing and fishing show watching studio.

Ah, but when football season returns, I shall run him out.

Now, I wish a very Happy Mother's Day to you all. May you have time today to snuggle down and get cozy in YOUR favorite spot in YOUR home.

Also, please hurry over to Unknown Mami's place to see what's cookin' in OTHER cities today.

You're so right, nothing beats a nice day at home when you can even take a nap if you feel so inclined!

I love the way you've decorated your home, toes & all. However, I think the real Keetha is illustrated in the football cave!

Oh to have a football cave - somewhere for the football liking folk to spend time, or for me to run to, to avoid the football liking folk!
Happy Mothers Day.

Nice toes, Keetha. My toes are a glitzy pink today, and of course, it's sandal weather in New Orleans. Enjoy your cozy Sunday.

It looks as cozy as ever at your house, but we spent this beautiful afternoon either talking to kids on the phone or sitting out on the deck visiting and bird watching. The Girl and I were escaping the golf tournament and enjoying the weather.

No place like home, I agree!
Your toes tell me that it's warm, no need for socks, I envy you!
ps. I know the 'correct' word for 'raisin' but the challenge was word 'dry' - I like to play with words... :)
