Many of you have asked where in the world I've been.

All I know is that after 7 plus years of blogging and a different lappy, which I don’t like, I seem to have lost my blogging fervor.

Someday, when you least expect it, I will post again.

For those of you still waiting I say thank you.

Meanwhile, I am rather prolific on twitter. Find me: @KeethaB

So God Made a Farmer - Barn Charm Post

.

Another quintessential red Wisconsin Barn drive-by shooting with my little Sony Cybershot.

But today, for your viewing AND listening pleasure I give you - - -

This video tribute to the American Farmer.

My blogging friend Linda and her hubby Rick put this video together using pictures taken on the farm where Linda grew up near Osseo, Wisconsin. Linda's dad is the featured farmer and this video was done in remembrance of him.

The narrative is both written and spoken by Paul Harvey.

The facts about farmers are absolutely on target.

Hi Keetha...

What is it about a big ol' red barn that just mesmerizes us? I guess that it is one of the greatest symbols of "Americana"...maybe that's why! Loved your beautiful photo, my friend! You know...I live way out in the sticks...in the middle of farm country. When I see a big ol' barn...it just feels like "home"!

I really enjoyed the video tribute to the American farmer that you shared. Thank you!

Love ya,
Chari

PS...so sorry that your lilacs didn't make it this year. We'll hope for next year, my friend.

I have always loved Paul Harvey, and tried to never miss his radio show. But, I have never heard this bit about the farmer. So poignant and so true.

Thanks for sharing and I will be passing it along as well.

Nice drive-by shot! I loved the video! As you can see by my name, my dad was a farmer so this was really special to hear. Thanks for sharing!

There is only one Paul Harvey. What a great video that Linda and Rick assembled. I hope the patches of snow in your photo is from a few months ago rather than the present conditions of central Wisconsin.

Ah. Thank you. Thank God for farmers.

Your barns remind me that my husband took some great pictures of a barn on a vacation one time, and we wondered if you could make a coffee table book out of pictures of barns. Or at least a calendar.

Nice drive-by, and the video is beautiful!

Keetha that is a sweet red barn for Barn Charm! Loved your comment at my blog yesterday about patchwork barns! Cracked me up about the patchy siblings :) I can't get any sound on the video and I clicked your link to Linda's blog and to You Tube. Dang! I don't know what I am doing wrong. But I loved the video. No words worked quite well, the pictures told the story!

Nice drive by. I have more of those than I'd admit. And a nice tribute to farmers.

Keetha CH and I just listened to it :) A beautiful tribute! I restarted and that still didn't do it. I went into my control panel and audio was off in there??????????? No idea how that happened! Thank you!

A fine picture of your barn and an exceptional video. I grew up on a farm milking cows morning and night. You haven't lived until you've sat on a one-legged stool and had a cow switch you with her tail. :-)
