Many of you have asked where in the world I've been.

All I know is that after 7 plus years of blogging and a different lappy, which I don’t like, I seem to have lost my blogging fervor.

Someday, when you least expect it, I will post again.

For those of you still waiting I say thank you.

Meanwhile, I am rather prolific on twitter. Find me: @KeethaB

Vacation Me This

.

Just a few random bits of vacation "stuff."

Fisherhubby e-mailed me this photo taken with his phone this morning. This is a sample of the large mouth bass he is catching.

He said to make SURE to tell you it was a 5 pounder. I guess that's important? OK then - - - this is a 5 pounder!.

Vacation fish count so far: 251

Can you see the Peace, Quiet, and Stillness of our lake setting???

This is what I like to call my leaning tower of puzzle.

While Fisherhubby earns his name, I am busy too!! I've completed 7 jig saw puzzles and have begun my 8th. (OK - - -truth in blogging, Jenny helped me do 4 of the 7, but she has gone home now and I'm all on my own for the REST)

I've also finished two books and am nearly halfway into my third.

And blogging - - - let's not forget I've made a blog post EVERY SINGLE DAY while I've been here.

Speaking of blogging - - - some of you were soooooo impressed with the Backroads Coffee Shop I decided to show you some more.

As you can see, it is a place where people get comfortable and feel at home.

I'm not the ONLY one who gets excited to be here - - - - just look at the guy in this picture. Bless is little bitty heart - - - he didn't even know I was snapping the shot, and I didn't know he was looking SO INTENSE about his coffee bean purchase!!!

Such small town fun.

And the food - - - some of you clicked over to the web page and were duly impressed just by READING the menu.

Well - - - let me help you PICTURE how good it is.

This is a Mexican Chicken sandwich. It was soooo gooooey good with guacamole I could barely eat it.

Oh but I managed.

Fisherhubby had a tuna melt, half of which he had already eaten when I got around to snapping the picture.

He loved it.

Both of our sandwiches came with a side salad and yummy wheat and flax seed chips.

Now, let me leave you with this vacation video. Fisherhubby took it this morning as he was fishing.

You will see undisturbed peace and stillness, followed by a "fascinating" dive (by the camera) into Fisherhubby's boat.

After that, all of a sudden, in the background, you will see a large splash. THAT was an osprey catching her lunch.

Next time I HOPE it will be a video of a northwoods black bear, and NOT Brunhilda or Borris this time either.

One can always hope.

OH KEETHA,
THAT LARGE MOUTH BASS IS BEAUTIFUL.
YOU KNOW MY DADDY FISHES FOR BASS ALL YEAR AND THEN EACH SUMMER HAS A BIG FISH FRY. THEY DIDN'T HAVE ONE LAST YEAR BECAUSE OF AMY AND HE THINKS HE IS GETTING TO OLD TO HAVE ANY MORE...IT IS A LOT OF WORK. I LOVE TO TAKE EXTRA BASS LEFT OVER AND MAKE BASS SALAD....CHOP UP THE COOL COOKED BASS, EGGS, PICKLES, A LITTLE ONION AND CHOP IT ALL UP AND MIX WITH MAYO....DELICIOUS...AND SOO GOOD WHEN IT IS SOOO VERY HOT.
MY DADDY BELIEVES THERE IS NO FISH IN THE WORLD WORTH EATING BUT BASS.
I NEVER WAS ANY GOOD AT PUZZLES BUT MY MR. SIMPLY LOVES TO DO PUZZLES....HE HAS SUCH PATIENCE FOR THINGS LIKE THAT.
I HAVE SO ENJOYED YOUR PICTURES EVEN THOUGH I DON'T ALWAYS POST....I HAVE HAD A HARD TIME GETTING IN TO POST AT ALMOST EVERY BLOG...I THINK IT IS JUST MY SLOW COMPUTER.
HUGS

I have been feeling very nostalgic and sentimental lately about fishing with Dad. I want to fish with him and Mackinley when you get home!!

So since Dad is Fisherhubby because he fishes...does that make you Jiggywife because you jigsaw puzzle?!?!

Jiggywife LOL - your daughter is a hoot!

Every time you post Fisherhubby's catch count I have to laugh. I had an exboyfriend who fished all the time on a certain lake. He wanted to catch a big mouthed bass - other people caught them - but he never did. He never did catch one in that lake, not while I was dating him LOL

My mum is a Jiggywidder. When she moved to her present house she made my Hubster squash all her 'done' jigsaws into a tiny cupboard and he did such an ergonomical job she can;t get any out without knowing which went in last. And he won;t tell! He wants them to stay there until she agrees to pass them on to the Hospice or something. She already has about 20 'new; done ones waiting for a home.

What a great catch. Oh my he has caught so many. I am sure he is having the best of times. We are supposed to do a Minn. fishing trip this fall. Lunch looks delicious. So glad your having such a wonderful time. Books and puzzles are so much fun.
