Many of you have asked where in the world I've been.

All I know is that after 7 plus years of blogging and a different lappy, which I don’t like, I seem to have lost my blogging fervor.

Someday, when you least expect it, I will post again.

For those of you still waiting I say thank you.

Meanwhile, I am rather prolific on twitter. Find me: @KeethaB

Sunday Reruns - Releasing the Inner "Ross"

.

I get sooooo excited about our bloggy Sunday reruns!!! Thanks so much to Chari over at Happy to Design for hosting Sunday Favorites.

Ole's Inner Ross
(First posted on 1/14/07)

Do you remember the saying: "There's more than corn in Indiana?"

Well - - - there's also more than Ole in Greg. There's also Ross, as in Bob Ross. Yesterday Ross returned after years of "sabbatical."

Unfortunately my photos do NOT do his work justice. There is much more richness of both color and texture in his paintings than what these pictures indicate.

Mixing paints on his palette with a medium sized brush.

Sketching in details with a tiny brush.

Softening and adding reflections with a large brush.

This technique also uses knives and fan shaped brushes to add texture and detail.

"Dinghy Bay"

"Covered Bridge on a Snowy Day"
(This is one he painted pre-sabbatical.)

These are really well done. I see a happy little dinghy right over there and a couple of big happy trees over here.
