Don't you just LOVE bloggy Sunday reruns!?! Thanks so much to Chari over at Happy to Design for hosting Sunday Favorites.
Today I'm rerunning a little post which highlights my hubby's sense of humor. Enjoy!
"Still Learning After All These Years"

(First posted March 6, 2007)
Greg (Fisherhubby) and I went to a service Sunday evening which honored forty couples who have each been married 50 or more years, my parents being one of the couples.
Inspired by their list of secrets to a long marriage, Greg jotted HIS list on the back of a tithing envelope and handed it to me:
1) Learn to say "I'm sorry."
2) Learn to say "Yes, dear."
3) Learn to say, "No, those clothes don't make you look fat."
4) Always put the toilet seat down.
I observed that he didn't add, "Don't drop your dirty clothes on the floor."
He said that was what he was going to learn in the NEXT 32 years of marriage - - - - -
Plain and simple... my hubby takes the silent approach, but always with a smile, and actually it does seem to work....
Howard says he has learned to say "Yes" to all women, and "Yes, DEAR" to me. It works.
He is still working on "don't leave globs of toothpaste in the sink."
Ha. The first step is admitting you have a problem. Putting it in writing though makes it legal.
Oh so funny, Keetha! Ht least he inteds to learn even if it takes 32 years....Christine
I think that is just the sweetest thing!
I don't think it's in their DNA to learn to put the toilet seat down. But we learn it out of force of habit, don't we girls? If we don't, we might fall in.
So happy to see you today for Sunday Favorites, my friend! I just love this post...thanks for sharing it with all of us today!
MEN...they sure are a different breed...that's for sure! Gotta love em'!!! Hmmm...I'm thinking that us girls need to make our own list...Hehe!!!
Have a super Sunday, Darlin'!
PS...are you getting situated back in school? Hope that the new school year is going well for you, Darlin'! I'm missing it a bit...this will be my second year without school!
Your post is such a compliment to my Tech Support post. How cute, it that?
My husband would be in agreement with yours. We have been married for 44 years and now when we have a decided difference of opinion he shakes his head and says, "Venus and Mars darlin', Venus and Mars." LOL
Too funny. At least your husband says he's going to try to learn. Mine would never say that lol
I think my husband would say that he has learned when to just make himself scarce. That there are times that there is nothing that is going to make it better and that I am going to just have to work myself out of it. It is better if he is not close enough to reap the wrath of those moments!
Very good!! I think I'd keep him! At least he's paying attention. I forgot to link up my re-run last night and just did it now before midnight!!
That really is a cute story! Thank you for sharing and also thank you for visiting my blog. :o) Yes, those fresh eggs really are yummy! :o)
Sincerely ~ Tricia Anne
I would say Fisherhubby is most definitely a Keeper, no need to throw him back!
Aww! That's so romantic! (Seriously!)
Love this post-such good advice! Did you save that envelope?
