Many of you have asked where in the world I've been.

All I know is that after 7 plus years of blogging and a different lappy, which I don’t like, I seem to have lost my blogging fervor.

Someday, when you least expect it, I will post again.

For those of you still waiting I say thank you.

Meanwhile, I am rather prolific on twitter. Find me: @KeethaB

It's an Exciting Day in Blogland!!!

.
No picture with this post - - - will you read or will you turn away??? Aw, come on - - - give the words a CHANCE.

Just a few things I want to spout about tonight.

First of all: I have missed blogging this week. I have missed all of you. School started, and it saps my time and my energy, and SOMETIMES even my sense of humor. BUT - - - I shall prevail, so keep CHECKING in on me.

Second: About the
DUST on that sewing machine pedal in my TVTT post. I did SERIOUSLY consider dusting and reshooting the picture. Then I thought, "Where's the reality in THAT!?!" 'Cause people, there IS some SERIOUS DUST in my life. SERIOUS. Besides, THAT particular dust has been collecting on that pedal (it's hidden in the cabinet where I never even THOUGHT to dust it) for the entire 34+ years of my marriage. By now it has EARNED the RIGHT to peace and quiet. Maybe next week I'll show you the cobwebs we have around here - - - - but then again, maybe not!

Third: Brunhilda and Borris Bearsaltandpepper. Yes, they are hibernating quite happily back on the kitchen table where they shall STAY until I feel brave enough to pull them out of retirement for another series of guest posts. The blogland reaction to them has been a mixed bag of nuts to say the least. Some people actually, you know, READ the posts and "got" them and loved them. Others just saw the little bears and said to themselves, (and then LATER out loud TO ME) "stupid." Well, the B & B posts were a GROUP project on vacation - - - all 4 of us got into the act.The other three gave me ideas for pictures and helped me stage them. I poured my creative juices into making the posts and writing the stories. We just had a ball doing it. I KNOW that should be ENOUGH - - - but I just gotta tell ya, the naysayers hurt my bloggy feelings to their very quick. It may be a LONG TIME before I brave airing B&B creativity on the world again. (As you can see, I broke down and posted one tiny picture after all.)

Fourth: I just opened my e-mail to find a message from a "little girl" I used to baby-sit for 37+ years ago!!! I didn't recognize the e-mail and NEARLY deleted it as spam without even opening it!!! Oh how GLAD I am that a little voice in my head said, "STOP - - - don't delete that without seeing what it is!!" Lori - - - if you find your way to this blog WELCOME and it was soooooooo fun to hear from you today.

LAST: The lone world traveler will be back home in Indiana tomorrow. Fisherhubby and I will be waiting for him at the airport. I'm pretty sure he will never be the same again.

Thanks for READING!! Hugs and Kisses to you ALL.

Well Keetha I go to many different sites.
Some are serious and rigid. Some are hilarious all the time. Some are quirky. Some are inspiring. Some are creative. Some are a mixed bag like mine.
Do I enjoy every post I read, nah. Do I ever, ever, ever criticize the blogger? How rude. I would never do that.
Not every post is Pulitzer material and that isn't what I am looking for.
I want to read a real story from a real person who makes an attempt to draw in their readers and entertain them. We need to have a laugh every day. I must say I find many of them here. Keep up the good work and say howdy to the bears.

I can't fathom critiquing another's blog. Sometimes, regardless of what anyone puts out there...they want to do it and it's their choice! (put on their blog I mean). I love those silly bears and the silly people who manipulate them! I wonder, might someone say "stupid" when they're actually uncomfortable with your free spirit? I think that's what it is really. Their rigidness and inability to let go and HAVE FUN! I like you Keetha, you're fun!

I love you Keetha. I love your dust, your humor, your Brunhilda and Borris Bearsaltandpepper posts, I loved the creativity that came out in those posts -- I don't think I'd truly enjoyed a vacation post as much as when you had the bears in bed with little cotton balls for pillows. Hysterical.

I'm so excited to hear about your sons trip. I hope he allows you to tell some stories!

How fun to get a blast from the past email :)

I hope your school year is the best yet.

I can't imagine someone being critical to your face. It's not like we're doing this for money.

Hope your school year goes well. It seems too hot to be back in school.

I almost didn't accept a "friend" request on Facebook but decided to send a question to find out who it was and how I knew her. Turned out to be a little girl (all grown up now) who used to live next door to us. Didn't recognize her married name.

Please keep us updated on the bears. It was fun reading about them. Jennifer (Dust Bunny Hostage) does that with her Geisa figurine. Love it. I have a salt and pepper shaker set of the heads of chefs...I called them Sal and Peppe (get it? hehe)and told Jennifer they should hook up with her Geisha figurine.
Some people just don't get our type of humor, which is really sad. To be able to stop by and read a fun blog such as yours just makes a sometimes hard day a little more 'bear'able!
Hugs!

K.B. thanks for the updates. Glad I asked... and for the naysayers, heres ****** raspberries to you! We loved our B & B stories. Heck, I honestly, couldn't wait to see what you came up with next. I truly think you could make that into a children's book!!! Really!!!
Today is Friday,,, Are you back into the "Can't wait for the weekend" phase? Have a great weekend...

Your comment on my post made me laugh this morning. I think your sense of humor is alive and well.

Now that I've read your post I'm very curious what B&B have been up to and who this mysterious world traveler is. I guess I'll have to stick around and see what I've missed!

Wow, your son is adventursome as your salt and pepper shakers! I could never do something like that alone!

Brunhilda and Borris are delightful. Too bad they couldn't make it to the Colts game. They would look great in bue. I don't know how those other people couldn't "get it". Aren't there many artists who always have a little figure or symbol hidden somewhere in their work? I'd love to see how creative you could be having them pop up here and there!

Hi Keetha,

Very nice to hear from you too. I gave my sister Joni your information as well, and I told my parents last night that I contacted you. Hope you have a lovely day!

Your post was JUST FINE without pictures! And don't worry about the dust....I don't bother dusting before I post pictuers!

Keetha, I love your posts, the bears and your dust!!! I have tons of it in my house too. Do the bears go back to school with you? Maybe they could help clean chalkboard erasers? (giving my age away with that comment!)

School already? It can't be? Oh how I don't miss it! How sad is that? I still think the Bears should go on a US tour and send them to people you know all over the US and have them do a blog featuring Mr. and Mrs. B. Tell Lakeview Hello!

Keetha....honey, this is your blog....anything goes as long as you like it!

BTW...I loved those post....they were adorable....I am willing to bet there was some jealously out there in blog land, because of your creative side, and naysayers did not think of it themselves.. :)

But....don't worry about it...I am sure there is plenty on mine that others don't like or would rather not hear about..that is fine...they can just click off....really an easy concept!

Don't you fret over the bears or the dust...it is life baby....real life!

blogs are like TV shows, if you don't like it change the channel? what happened to if you can't say anything nice dont' say anything at all. I liked the bears they were cute but I didn't always have time to read them right through. That's what archives are for, when I'm FROZEN up here in the arctic and all of you are complaining of rain and "cool" I can go back and read them. :)

I was so glad to see an update! Congratulations on the safe return of your son! And the start of your school year! I've been wondering how school was kicking off for you. I remember (and sometimes miss) that first week of craziness.

I enjoy reading your blog. Don't change a thing! :)

We don't get old...and stop playing. We stop playing...and get old!

Life can be hard and full of unhappy things...there is tragedy everywhere you look. And, if that is all you looked at, it would be a sad world.

You look at life from the 'fun' side...and that's why you are a delight. I can imagine how fun it must have been to laugh with your friends and stage all those bear pics! What a hoot!

Sure, we all need to be inspired and uplifted and such...but, we all need to laugh...MORE!

Do your thing, girl!

I loved your bear posts! And to find out they were a collaborative effort was even more fun! And congratulations on the safe arrival of your Swedish jetsetter!

I just had to comment on your post:

1. I have LOTS of dust in my life too-in more ways than one...glad I'm not the only one.

2. I understand not being around blogworld much-what's it been a MONTH for me?! I can't wait to come back though-so don't give up! Maybe I'll even come back today!

3. I'm praying for you with the start of the school year-your students are blessed to have you as a teacher!

4. I'm sorry about the bears...I for one LOVE your blog!

5. Yay for your son coming home!

Sorry about the long comment....:)
