Many of you have asked where in the world I've been.

All I know is that after 7 plus years of blogging and a different lappy, which I don’t like, I seem to have lost my blogging fervor.

Someday, when you least expect it, I will post again.

For those of you still waiting I say thank you.

Meanwhile, I am rather prolific on twitter. Find me: @KeethaB

On Gull Lake

Gull Lake is an important part of our family history, so we included it in our trip down memory lane.

First we stopped at the "Little Cabin in the Woods" where Greg and I vacation. No one was around, but Cheney was very happy to meet dad.

Then we went on over to this lovely lakeside spot.

Years ago my dad's sister Clara and her husband, Loren, bought this lot and proceeded to build a family fishing cabin.

Many of "us" (extended family members) came to the lake to help build the "Kidder Kabin." In exchange, we were given vacation weeks there. Thus my LOVE of the place.

Originally "Kidder Kabin" was this color. Now only the fish house retains the sky blue hue.

And the cabin itself is a more retiring shade of gray.

Uncle Ben and Aunt Lois are the current guardians and residents of this family treasure.

I'm glad you specified "fish house" for those of us who aren't educated in the fine art of angling. My guess was another kind of out building . . .

Oh, back in the day we had PLENTY of those up in the northwoods too - - - but this one happens to be a fish cleaning station.

Can you see the little deer head made of pieces of logs between the two doors?
