Many of you have asked where in the world I've been.

All I know is that after 7 plus years of blogging and a different lappy, which I don’t like, I seem to have lost my blogging fervor.

Someday, when you least expect it, I will post again.

For those of you still waiting I say thank you.

Meanwhile, I am rather prolific on twitter. Find me: @KeethaB

Monday = Football

Here we go again!!! Upsets and near upsets. That's the name of the game in NCAA football.

Some weekend highlights:

WHAT ABOUT EAST CAROLINA?????!!!! Last week the Pirates knocked off Virginia Tech (27 -22) and this week they embarrassed West Virginia, 24 - 3. Wow, this small Greenville, NC school is SERIOUS about their football!!!

Ohio State had their hands full with the OTHER Ohio school, only beating them 26 - 14.

Vandy put down the Gamecocks, 24 - 17 --- OK pundits, how do you like the SEC now?

Wake Forest, whose football program was known as "Weak Forest" only a few years ago took care of Mississippi (also an SEC school), 30 - 28.

Football power, Arkansas Razorbacks (also SEC) barely beat Louisiana Monroe 28 - 27. (Dare I say it? Louisianna Monroe?!?!)

And my son's little MAC school, Ball State took on the (entire) Navy and knocked them out of the water, 35 - 23.

Is Blake a student at Vandy? Live in the area? What's his connection???

And this KU fan just has to chime in and say we aren't in the top 25 for no reason! We beat our team 29-0, which even if they aren't the best team in the whole we did shut them out. :) I am a big sports fan as well!

Leigh and Holliediane - - - I do know about both of your schools and their successes on the FB field. I didn't mention them in THIS particular post because they were neither upset nor close to being upset.

Leigh- - - your TIDE crushed our Clemson Tigers last weekend.

Holliediane - - - LAST YEAR I marvelled at hour your Wildcats "came on." For a school that USED to be all about BB, they sure turned a corner in FB!!!!! I'm glad to see they are continuing to do well this season.

Blake moved to Nashville in March of this year. He took a position at a bank. He has been out of college for 3 years. He had been the Ass't. Golf Pro at Meshingomesia Country Club since his graduation from Taylor. He was offered this opportunity at this bank & he had always wanted to move "south"...either to NC or TN. So, it worked out. He's gonna try following his father's footsteps in the banking career. HA !

He bought Vandy tickets because he loves college FB & not because Vandy is that great of a team, but because the teams that will be coming into town to play against V.
He knew there would be some good teams to watch.
He said the game the other night was an exciting one.
