Many of you have asked where in the world I've been.

All I know is that after 7 plus years of blogging and a different lappy, which I don’t like, I seem to have lost my blogging fervor.

Someday, when you least expect it, I will post again.

For those of you still waiting I say thank you.

Meanwhile, I am rather prolific on twitter. Find me: @KeethaB

Birth Place - - -

On my birth certificate:

City: Shell Lake County: Washburn State: Wisconsin

In my heart: Childhood memories of picnics in this lakeside park.

Images of this sandy beach - - -

Etched forever in my mind.

Calling me to kick off my shoes and - - -

Wade into the water.

Pam, standing on the shore of Shell Lake - - -

On a warm September morning.

Just look who decided to join us. Well, actually, I guess we joined them.

No life guard today.

And a stone's throw away - - - this tiny hospital. The newer, larger, improved version of the one in which both Pam and I were born.

And as we got in the car to drive away, dad suddenly nearly jumped out of the moving car in his haste to catch these folk:

Kenny and his daughter Darla who attended our church all those many years ago. What a delightful surprise to find them here.

Thanks for letting us join you for a trip down memory lane! It´s been fun. I love the lavender toe nails, by the way. Do those belong to Pam?

The lavender toe nails DO belong to Pam.

Your stroll down memory lane was enlightening, Keetha. I bet you do have lots and lots of memories in those pictures.

Did you ever go to Marawarden Resort somewhere near or on Rice Lake? We vacationed there twice with the Troyer gang and had the kids' pictures taken in front of an old covered wagon. Phil and family had their pictures taken there YEARS ago as well.

I do not think we ever went there, Kathy. Is that where you were when the young boy drowned? I remember that story.

We DID go into the edge of Rice Lake, though - - - my picture of the people partying outside their hotel room was taken there.

Yes, that is the place. I will never forget that day. We haven't been back since. I would like to take the entire family there someday.

I wonder if you resort is still there. They are selling those places off to become condos, or private cottages, or even removing the buildings and selling them as empty lots. They are going faster than hot cakes.
