Many of you have asked where in the world I've been.

All I know is that after 7 plus years of blogging and a different lappy, which I don’t like, I seem to have lost my blogging fervor.

Someday, when you least expect it, I will post again.

For those of you still waiting I say thank you.

Meanwhile, I am rather prolific on twitter. Find me: @KeethaB

Put on Your Fraggin' Shoes and Frag the Night Away

.
.
Come on everybody!!!  Put on your fraggin' shoes and let's frag the night away!!!

You know, frags are those fragments that have been twisting around in your brain and you just need to get them out and share them with someone in blogland.

Well, let them twist no more - - - Mrs. 4444 has given us Friday Fragments for JUST such a time as this.  Why don't you join in?
.

Isn't this just the sweetest picture of our tiny ballerina, Piper?   I was planning to use it in a whole ballet post, but since I haven't gotten that done yet, I think I'll share it with you now.

You're welcome.

This is sweet Aunt Mary, my dad's sister.   A few weeks ago she passed away.

She and my dad were two of 13 siblings.  Only five of them are still living.  I don't like this phase of life where the generation before us takes their final bow on this earth.

School's out for the summer!!!!  At least for our grans down in Indiana.

I don't think there's any question about How Mackinley feels about THAT!!!
.

Now there's time for IMPORTANT things like reading books in the shade of a big old oak tree, (don't you LOVE those flip flops?)
.
.

And "watching" big brother play baseball.

Pretty soon it will be time to come to 'Consin for Kamma Kamp!!!"

"Tweet Treats"
.

I've started tweeting, @KeethaB.  I'm discovering unexpected blessings and surprises from Twitter!

Today the gal on the right, who is a client of our stylist daughter Korie on the left, tweeted me this picture while she was getting her hair done by Korie!

.

My former students in Indiana who are growing up and graduating have found me on Twitter.    These three were in my Freshman Biology class the last year I taught, the last our school was open.
.

When our school closed, the students were scattered to 4 different county schools.  Last week they all met back at good old LCS to have their picture taken together one last time.

Such bitter sweet memories.

I am so proud of all of them, and so glad they tweeted out these photos.
.
.

.
And LAUGH while you do it - - - that's what I say.

Hehehehehe.

Sorry - - - just couldn't help myself.

"Memorial Day Fun"
.

As already reported on this blog, I spent MUCH of my Memorial Day weekend sick, even ending up in the ER Saturday evening.

By Monday morning, I had "pulled myself together" enough to meet Claudia, one of my high school classmates who was in town from Iowa.

One of the joys of coming back home is being here to meet up with old friends like this when they pass through.
.
.
Monday evening we grilled and ate steaks with our friends Bill and Eloise (yep, pronounced E-Lois)

Eloise had made a very festive red, white, and blue Memorial Day table.

A great time was had by all.
.
.

   .
I'm getting excited about Badger Football season - - - which starts the first weekend in September.

BUT, I'm trying not to get TOO excited yet 'cause I don't want to wish away the whole summer!!!
.

Perhaps the government would be better - - - they rarely "let" themselves get arrested.
.

* * * * * * * * * * * *
.
.

.

And that's all the fraggin' I'm doing today,
Even WITH my fraggin shoes on.
Please hurry over to Mrs. 4444's place
Where you will see LOTS of other frags

Why not put on  your own fraggin' shoes
And frag the night away?!

Very sad about your Aunt Mary. She sure has a nice big grin on her in that picture. A great way to remember her.
Very cool that those students reconnected with you on twitter.

Interesting fragments here--it is sad when the big families see their siblings pass away one by one. My condolences.

Like the last cartoon--so true!

I'm sorry to hear about Aunt Mary...she looks like a sweet lady. Piper has the most beautiful curls I think I've ever seen!

So sorry to hear about your Aunt Mary.

I can't wait to hear/see what fun you all have at "Kamma Kamp".

I love that cartoon at the end - too true.

I like that final bow description and what a pretty lady was your aunt. It has to be hard for your dad to watch his sibs one by one. Seems that generation is flocking to Glory these days. I think you would LOVE tweeting.

So glad you are back in great form as usual. I do so enjoy your post on your family or any subject. You make all visits a pleasure.

The ballerina pose is great but my very favorite is the shot of the little girl reading. Precious.

Gotta love those flip flops and the little one reading. Cute

Oh I LOVE that picture of your adorable tiny ballerina!

So sorry about your Aunt Mary. ((HUGZ!!))

Love that you've been 'found' on Twitter by former students - how cool is that?! :)

That Will Farrel poster is hysterical!

So sorry you were sick on Memorial Day weekend - glad you felt well enough to enjoy the fun with your friend and not have it be a total wash! :)

Farewell to Friday for a Temporary Hiatus

Keetha, you crack me up!! I am following you on twitter, welcome to 'twit' land ;-)

What a sweet meeting of old student. I didn't remember you had been in IN. When was the move to WI?

My grandfather's siblings have all gone now but him. There were 9 of them. That was an amazing group of people to hang around during reunions. So much FUN!!! I still remember my mother's family getting together and the older generation still preferred German. My great uncle would slide the slide with us and play tag. It was awesome!!!

It's tough to lose the ones you love. I had a dream the other day that I got to talk to my grandmother at the age I am now (I was 15 when she passed, I was with her and she was in the hospital.) So in my dream she was in the hospital but I was so happy to be able to talk to her 2o years later.

I love that picture of all of those graduates together. So cool.

As far as twitter goes, I don't do it enough, I tend to only go on when I want to vent and don't want to vent to FB people. lol I'll have to find you on twitter.

Sweet picture of Piper. I have an aunt who passed away last week and I'm with you on this phase of life ...it sucks. I would have big smiles too like Mackinley, it's always awesome when school is out.

So Sorry to hear about your Aunt, but glad that you have such a nice photo to remind you of her lively spirit.
Great photos all around. That is really cool that you are connecting on twitter. I still haven't figured out how to use twitter.
P.S. Absolutely loved your intro.

I'm sorry to hear about your Aunt. That smile on her face looks famiiar, think it runs in the family? ;) I finally understand what Friday Frags are, I finally took the time to find out. My mother-in-law passed a couple of weeks ago, the one that lived with us and whom I wrote about quite often. I've been slow at catching up with everyone's blogs as well as my own blogging. I enjoy reading yours, you always bring a smile to my face along with a chuckle. I hear ya about football season coming up soon but you're right, don't want to waste the summer away. Have a great one!!

Nice pictures. So sorry about your Aunt Mary. It is sad to watch our dear aunts and uncles pass on, one by one.
The ballerina picture is precious!
And that's very cool that you're reconnecting to old students and friends on Twitter. Enjoyed your blog!

I'm not on twitter, but you almost make me want to be. It would be fun to hear from my old students as well.

My grandma was one of 9 children. There is only one living now that she passed.

I haven't got on the Twitter bandwagon yet. That's cool that you're connecting on Twitter. I love that government comic!

What a precious little ballerina!!!! It's great to be out of school for summer and especially going to Kamma Kamp!

I just don't think I can to get into tweeting.....you are so "with it" ....

I'm so, so glad you're better and able to get together with friends! And I'm sorry about your aunt. I know what you mean about their generation going home.
