Some of you, my oh so loyal bloggy fans, have been sending me texts and emails asking me where I've been because I've been SORELY neglecting my blog and you, my bloggy buddies.
There are two reasons for this:
1) I've not had the creative energy/juices lately to put the TIME into my blogging that I once did. I never want to put up a post unless it meets my own standards (eh hem) of bloggy creativity. And when I neglect my blogging I also neglect my follow list. Be assured it ISN'T YOU - - - it's me.
2) I went over to the dark side of Twitter.
I never thought I'd ever have to admit this - - - I've avoided FACEBOOK like the plague all these bloggy years (blogging since 2006 BTW) - - - so I thought I was immune to ALL of the dark side of social media.
Until I signed up for Twitter to check on my sporting news and found oh so much MORE over there to check up on.
Sigh.
So - - - if you wonder if I'm alive or dead, just look on Twitter for @KeethaB. I think you'll find me.
And never fear - - - I'm alive as alive can be.

In just a little over a week our three precious, darlin' grans will be coming to 'Consin for Kamma Kamp!!!This is an annual tradition we've started since moving seven and a half hours away from them.
It's all about quality time together and making memories!!!
I'll do my best, mes amis, to take lots of pix to post to my blog while they're here.

Last summer we had DROUGHT in these here parts. The spots of dead grass you see in our yard are THANK YOU VERY MUCH to last year's drought.
Uh - - - not so much THIS year, at least so far.
The other morning while Fisherhubby was way up in Canada, leaving me home alone to fend for myself, I had to "hide" in our interior laundry room for fear of the fierce winds/rains passing through.
As I hovered there, trying to decide if I should make a dash for the basement or not, I was entertained by my new friend Twitter.
BTW - - - Fisherhubby has had to mow about twice as many times so far this spring as he did ALL SUMMER LONG last year.
Serves him right for leaving me home alone. That's what I say.

Even the bears 'round these here parts aren't SURE about this Wisconsin weather.
We still had snow a-falling on May 3 and now it's hot and wet like a rain forest.
This bear had to take a look at a thermometer because the crazy weather gave him such "paws."

The other day while I was working at the library a man stopped me and said:"How do you work like that? Don't those little tiny shoes hurt your feet?"
Huh???
"Nope," said I, "These little tiny shoes FIT my little tiny feet."
Are size 6's THAT tiny???

You may remember that I have a fixation with Nutcrackers, which I affectionately call my Kings.Well just LOOK at this King mailbox holder my friend Kay helped me find this week.
No, I do NOT have one here.

Dane, one of the young lads from our church, a distant cousin of mine, and a passenger in my car going to and from Kids Camp snapped this picture with my phone camera on the way home.I kinda like it, how about you?

.

Here are Dane and brother Marcus pictured with me at KFC/Taco Bell at a Sunday lunch after church. Going to Taco Bell for Sunday lunch is a long tradition in our family. Notice they have piled all their trash - - - as well as the trash of everyone at the table - - - on my Taco Bell tray. This is ALSO apparently a long time tradition in our family.
My CHILDREN used to do the same to me when we took THEM to Taco Bell for Sunday Lunch, back in the day.
Fisherhubby STILL does it.
I have NEVER liked my try getting piled high with trash - - - especially while I'm STILL EATING.
Evidently it is a tradition that will dog me my entire life.
.
.
Except when I manage to slip away to Taco Bell for a lunch with just me, myself, and I.
Neither me, myself, nor I are messy with our trash!
.
.
So, my friends, THIS is how WE can make OUR trash look on OUR tray.
Sigh.
Yes it IS folded. Deal with it.
So good for the OCD.

Marcus, both mentioned and pictured in the above frag, forgot (or so I thought) to bring his parental consent form to Kids Camp where he was a Junior Counselor.
I texted his dad, the Chief of Police in a Small Wisconsin Town, and asked him to write a permission note, snap a pic of it, and text it to me at camp.
In just a few minutes, this is what I got with the following message:
"Official enough for ya?"
Well, Mr. C.O.P., if it is official enough for YOU who am I to argue??? I wouldn't DARE be "resistant" to the police, especially not the C.O.P.!

Glad to see a nutcracker here again. It's been too long.
Keetha I'm glad to hear you are doing OK. It's a busy time of year for me as I'm moving near my daughter, sil and Grandson!!! Yay for me. Oh and I have size 6 feet and people tell me all the time they are little??
Take care and enjoy Keema Kamp!
Hope you have a great time with the grandkids! yes, size 6's are tiny and I'm jealous because I have size 9 boats. That bear picture is great! Stopping by from Friday Frags.
I am so glad to see you! Well, you know what I mean! Can't wait to hear about Kamma Kamp!
Glad you're ok ... been missing you.
Have a wonderful time with the grands at Kamma Kamp!
Our temperatures this weekend are going to be almost 30 degrees cooler than they were last year at this time. Not to mention the difference in the rainfall! Monsoon season here!
Boy, I was wondering what happened to you...now I know. A little birdy told me. Twitter and Facebook, I will refuse as long as I can blog about something. LOL
LOVE the patriotic mail box. And the bear checkin' out the temp...that's a hoot.
Rain? Drought? We're still in the drought area, and I so wish it would rain. If he gets tired of mowing, just send the rain farther...way farther south, okay?
And enjoy those grans!!! Sweet, sweet kids.
My sister has size 5 feet! She can hardly find shoes. I don't have that problem!
Love that bear checking the temp, he's so confused!
I know you're looking forward to your Kamma Kamp and know it will be fun, fun, fun.
I cannot get into Twitter. That's all.
Glad you're back. I don't post unless I have something to say either. I haven't gotten into Twitter yet just because I'm scared if I do I won't know how to stop!
Have fun with the grand-youngun's.
I assumed you were resting up from the camp trip, Glad all is well with you at least. You may not post often, but when you do, you do it up right.
Twitter?!?! I yiyi-- I'm so behind the times. I don't even Facebook let alone have time for Twitter. But, I have to be honest, when the Supreme Court used Twitter to announce their rulings this week I thought perhaps it was time.
Happy weekend, jj
Interesting about getting hooked on twitter. I don't think I would but I have never signed up.
Maybe that guy thought your shoes looked like elves/dwarfs shoes. You should have told him you were Snow White out looking for Dopey and thought he looked like him from a distance.
So that's where you go...twitter huh?
I see Greg on fb.
Lots going on with you all, summer just flies by too fast.
Soon you can be tired grand-parents for awhile, just like Dan and I.
Hugs friend,
Cindy
Well, you had lots of frags for today. My goodness, such a busy time for you.
As to Twitter...........well, haven't gone there yet. But, I do love Instagram and FaceBook.
Enjoy those Grans, I know all about living a long ways away, 13 1/2 hours to be exact. Thank goodness, one lives nearby.
Have a great weekend! Oh, the fish Hubby caught were White Perch, I should have stated that in my blog.
Size 6 is tiny to someone that wears a size 10 1/2!
Kamma Kamp...what a fun idea. If I ever get grandbabies, I'm going to have such a fun time with them. (Of course, my kids are still much too young to raise a family now. Sigh....)
I haven't jumped on the Twitter bandwagon yet. I'm in MN and we're getting all the rain too. My veggie garden is not doing well this year. That nutcracker is so cute! Have a great weekend.
I enjoyed reading your Friday Fragments. I love nutcrackers, too, of of course I love the mailbox holder :)
Have fun with the kids. I'm on Twitter but I have never liked it much. I do Facebook but only check it once a day. I like it when I'm on vacation because I can put up pictures quickly from my phone when I'm on an adventure. I was just out of town for 17 days so I haven't been reading posts much. Next Saturday I go to Mammoth Lakes for a week where I will have no signal at all. I do however still love blogging.
Oh have fun with your grands!
I've missed you, although I didn't get a FF post up this week myself!
Twitter, not you too! I haven't yet!
No drought here either... for the first summer since I've lived here!
I love the permission slip. Too funny.
Awe, creative bloggers block boy do I know what that is like. Great post by the way, loved the bear and that awesome permission slip. Have fun with the grans.
