Many of you have asked where in the world I've been.

All I know is that after 7 plus years of blogging and a different lappy, which I don’t like, I seem to have lost my blogging fervor.

Someday, when you least expect it, I will post again.

For those of you still waiting I say thank you.

Meanwhile, I am rather prolific on twitter. Find me: @KeethaB

Sunday at the River

The Wisconsin River makes its presence fully known in our city - - - bisecting it north to south.

Its waters, sometimes placid and sometimes angry, separate this town in to an east side and a west side.

We live on the east side.

Now that spring has finally sprung the river is completely free of ice for the first time in many many months.

It is a magnet, drawing winter weary souls to its shores like bears emerging from hibernation.

It is this city's best feature.
Its shores are lined with parks and trees.

Ducks swim and fish in its waters.

Fisherhubbies do too.

It boasts shoreline walkways that are popular with walkers, bikers, and skaters.
Stately homes embellish its banks.

I often wish I lived in one of these.

Families flock to its parks.

It is the life blood of my city.

I'm joining Unknown Mami
For Sundays in My City.
Please hurry over to Unknown Mami's to see
What's happening in other cities around blogland.

Wow! what a beautiful place and how blessed you are to live nearby. All we have are bayous and dirty rivers. :o) But, they are lovely in a different way. Happy Lord's Day!

I am glad to know that the river is being used for many types of recreation. It looks like Spring is there, finally.

Sounds like it a hub of activity in the area. Does it get higher in the spring? I know our local rivers are extremely high right now and there are many large trees floating down the river at a high speed.
After dinner with some friends last night we walked over to the walkway by the river and it was wonderful to see the people out walking their dogs.

So so pretty. I want to take a blanket and lay on it under one of those trees and watch the river manifest whatever emotion it's feeling at the time.

This winter and spring has been weird and long.
Yesterday it was only +10 in Madrid, here in Málaga it was nice till 1 then it changed to cold and windy. In Finland it's been hot, nor fair! :)
But let's enjoy snowless life! :)
