Many of you have asked where in the world I've been.

All I know is that after 7 plus years of blogging and a different lappy, which I don’t like, I seem to have lost my blogging fervor.

Someday, when you least expect it, I will post again.

For those of you still waiting I say thank you.

Meanwhile, I am rather prolific on twitter. Find me: @KeethaB

Our Spring has Sprung a Leak!*

.

Oh and WHAT a leak it's sprung!!!

Yesterday we had rain, and sleet, and snow followed by lightning and wave after wave after wave of low rolling thunder.

Today we're still getting snow. I thought Fisherhubby was NEVER going to get his windshield clean enough to head to work this morning.

And to think, just a few short hours ago our spring was still "sprunging" and progressing so nicely. Well now we've got more 'o this:

Frosted shrubs

Snow laden roads - - - you CAN find our road in that picture, can't you????

No more exposed patches of green grass.
White blankets upon roofs once more.

And Waldo???? Well, he's doing his utmost to hide again.

And for those of you who are wondering, (I can hear you wondering - - - oh yes I can) "Why didn't she go OUT there and put Waldo back on top of her patio light????" Let me say I DID think about it but just as rapidly rejected the idea for where's the fun in that???? If Waldo goes back on top of the light, what will I use as a snow gauge???

Now, about this spring "sprunging" a leak business. Are we discouraged??? Are we daunted???

Oh no, mes amies. We know that this too shall pass. We may get our daffodils and tulips and crocuses far later into the season than do you - - - but get them we shall!

*Thanks to my friend Mark Wilson from whom I blatantly STOLE the title for my post.

Oh my... and I think we're in for the same darn thing. Our forecast changed to snow the rest of the week instead of rain... and I so enjoyed the thunder, lightning and rain last night!

I hold out hope that since we are more southern than you that we will just get flurries. :)

I must say, of all the things I miss about the north, snow isn't one of them.

Oh my stars! Good thing you love winter! In SW Missouri, I've enjoyed a few days of open windows and getting flower beds ready. I don't know how you do it! ;)

I would not be happy about the snow on the first day of Spring! But I've seen snow in April.

Oh, But it is pretty.

Of course I couldn't hack it, the BEST thing about growing up in Oklahoma and living in Texas is that we get bursts of all four seasons throughout every season of the year. Sure it gets bitter cold, and we have to endure sweltering heat, but so often we have breaks in between.

I believe it was Roy Rodgers who said, "If you don't like the weather here, wait a minute."

Argh! What will this do you the things in your yard that were starting to sprout up and be "spring like"?

You're right. This shall pass, but it is kinda nice to know that we are not alone. ;).

p.s. Thank you for that verse today. Jeremiah 29:11 has been on my heart a lot the last couple of days. Will's funeral is next Tuesday. When he was sick, this is a verse that God laid on my heart for he and his family. It was a part of the Christmas gift that he opened from me the night before he went home to be with Jesus. Will's sister and I have become good friends since Will was diagnosed. She has asked me to shoot the photography for the viewing and funeral. I am glad to have a "job". I always feel more comfortable when I am put to work. I am, however exceedingly nervous that I will mess it up for them. Mainly because I know that it is so very important to them. Maybe God gave this verse to you (for me) today. Thank you, my friend.

Wow! We didn't have snow, but we have had severe thunderstorms with lightening and rain and hail that was so loud I thought it might break the windows out. Spring can't be too far away for all of us.

Looks the same here! I want flowers, enough is enough with the snow this year!
Have a great weekend, K!

My brother-in-law just returned from Costa Rica. Had I known you wanted some coffee... so glad you can order it. It's nice to have a few luxuries. Football and Costa Rican coffee :)
