Many of you have asked where in the world I've been.

All I know is that after 7 plus years of blogging and a different lappy, which I don’t like, I seem to have lost my blogging fervor.

Someday, when you least expect it, I will post again.

For those of you still waiting I say thank you.

Meanwhile, I am rather prolific on twitter. Find me: @KeethaB

I May Not Have What Others Would Call "A Life!"

.

It's Friday night, right???
The night to let your hair down,
Go out for supper,
Enjoy life, right???

So what did I do with my Friday night?????

Since hubby is at work and I'm home alone,
I brought home Taco Bell - - -
Which I ate for supper at 4 PM.

Then I spent time catching up
On the blogs I follow.

Next I went around
Taking photos and planning
A blog post in my head.

After that I settled in
To get the photos ready to post - - -
You know, edit them,
Crop them,
And resize them.

While I was doing that
I continued puttering around
In blogland,
Responding to a few comments
Which happened to come my way,
And creating a couple
Of nonsensical blog posts of my own.

The TV was playing
A college basket ball game in the background - - -
But I didn't watch any of it.
It was just there.

And now I'm nearly finished.
Nearly finished with both my blogging
And my evening.
I'm about ready to go up
And cuddle into my bed
With a good book.

It's only 8:42

And you know what???
I LOVED my evening.

See - - - no life.

Add small children to the mix and our lives are pretty much the same. I LOVE IT!! Who defines "no life" anyway???

Do you go from 4pm until bed without eating anything? I'm sitting here fighting the urge to eat RIGHT NOW! I hate it.

Hehehehehehe - - - I guess I was thinking of what my STUDENTS would call a life. They frequently tell me I have none.

Sometimes I eat some kind of snacks after 4 - - - and if dad is off and we go out to eat on Friday night, it is usually later than that when we eat. But tonight I've been having such a good time right here at my computer that I never even thought of eating anything else!

You inherited the psychological DRIVE TO EAT from me. Sorry I infested you with it.

That sounds mighty fine to me. Is that a sign that I may be in a "certain" age group? :)

Keri said...

Yes I inherited your drive to EAT but not your metabolism!!! Why couldn't I have BOTH?!?!

Hehehehehehehe Keri - - - after you asked me about eating, I went and ate some cheese cubes and two Dove chocolate squares!!!!

Sherry - - - I'm afraid it does indicate that we are over-the-hill if sitting at home with a TV and a computer sounds like a "life" to us!!

AND since talking to you about eating I ate some turkey with crackers. I'm weak. :(

Remember those days when we would NEVER stay home on a Friday night? Unless, of course, someone failed to clean the hair out of the hairbrush and had to miss the WR-SP football game.

Now, a Friday evening at home is preferred.

LOL Nancy!!!!! Do you REMEMBER from HS that I had to miss that game, or just since I posted about it this fall while we were visiting in Rapids?

Actually, the Friday nights there wasn't a home football game Pam and I didn't often go anywhere. Sometimes we had family board game night then - - - - and nearly ALWAYS pizza, dad's home made of course.

Keri - - - you could have eaten things that we A LOT more fattening than turkey and crackers, so I'd say you did yourself proud.

Keetha Broyles said...

Come on - - - I ate CHEESE and CHOCOLATE - - - let's compare fat content between that and your turkey and crackers.

We ordered pizza, and Drew was gone for the night at a friends house...my girls, and Jimmy and I were in bed by 9:15 last night! It's a wonderful life, and I wouldn't trade it for the world! You have an awesome life! You were just recharging your batteries to hit hard again in the morning!LOL

Keetha Broyles said...

Recharging my batteries yes - - - hit it hard in the morning, not so much - - - hit it hard on MONDAY morning, yes!!!! It takes me all weekend to completely recharge!!

I know...but I try not to eat ANYTHING after supper. So I failed!

Sounds like my night. Oh, wait, we watched a movie. Hubby has to get up early and work on Saturdays during tax season, so we go to bed early!

Keetha, your post jogged the memory of the hairbrush -- just had to remind you again. Homemade pizza sounds good even now. Does your Dad give out his recipes?

Keetha Broyles said...

I don't know if he does - - - but I can pretty much tell you what he did.

I think that pretty much sums up a perfect evening: peace and quiet, blogging, catching up on blogs! Of course, I would need my comfy pants and cozy socks on also! This past Friday Craig and Drew went to a monster truck show (I'll be posting about that later), and Alex and I went to a HS basketball game. Exhausting-I'm jealous of your Friday!

BTW: I have a hard time not snacking in the evening also.

Julie, I had on my comfy jammies - - - I just didn't think to say that in the post.
