Many of you have asked where in the world I've been.

All I know is that after 7 plus years of blogging and a different lappy, which I don’t like, I seem to have lost my blogging fervor.

Someday, when you least expect it, I will post again.

For those of you still waiting I say thank you.

Meanwhile, I am rather prolific on twitter. Find me: @KeethaB

Food For Thought

.

Without the food this time - - - just the thought.

A few minutes ago, one of my students blurted out to another student something to this effect: "What!?! Mrs. Broyles lie? I don't think so. She's the BEST Christian around here."

OK - - - uncomfortable for me on several levels.

First of all, my "neighbor" teacher was standing in the doorway when this occured, and by the nature of the comment it "ranked" us to some degree. I'm totally not comfortable with such a ranking.

Secondly - - - it made me ask myself, and ask myself deeply - - - "are you living up to such a comment even leaving the ranking thing aside?"

Someone is always watching us.

Always.

Please Lord, guard my heart, my lips, and my actions so that what they see will be YOU.

It is so true! In our Bible study we're doing a book called Respectable Sins and I've never been so convicted in my life!

Oh yeah...I know exactly what you're saying. As a worship leader and as a Christian school teacher (homeschool co-op), I have to be walking in Grace 25/7 because folks always recognize me and expect me to "BE" Christlike. I try to be real and I try to follow Christ, but when I blow it...I need to be able to share how to be humble and the joy of forgiveness.

Sans His grace I'd be in a heap 'o trouble!

it is hard - - - but we are that, aren't we. We're always modeling something.
