Fisherhubby and I headed to Indy this afternoon to catch our Swedish Fish at the air port. We got there with about a half an hour to spare.
Hubby was glad to fill the time with a snack from his FAVORITE air port concession. Notice he's dressed like a true Fisherhubby.Turns out it was a GOOD thing we planned to arrive a bit early as the plane LANDED about 20 minutes ahead of schedule - - - have you EVER HEARD OF SUCH!!!
And there he came - - - our little world traveler home safe and sound and all in one piece.
He greeted us with hugs all around, and then we took a good look at him:
Seems we sent him away a typical American College Boy and he returned a Swedish World Traveler.
After he retrieved his luggage - - -
We loaded up and headed toward home.He regaled us with stories of friends he'd met, tasks he'd completed, places he'd seen, and new skills he'd learned.
He's already planning his Europe Summer 2010. It will be a new and improved trip based on things he learned this time around in Sweden.
I guess I have to get used to being a Jet Set Mom. (Translated: I, mom, "set" at home while he "jets.")

YAY for Kyle!! :) I can't wait to talk to him and hear his stories. And hug him, even if it makes him a little squeamish. :)

Was this his first time as a 'world' traveler? I must've missed your blog(s) about this.
I was a little bit of a basket case when my husband and daughter (then 18) went to Kenya for 2 weeks. What a relief it was for me when they were safe at home.
Oh what the eyes have seen. Don't you wish he had carried a video camera with him. Mounted on a helmet, worn at all times... I know he would have embraced that request!
Give him a hug for us too!!! Wish I could be there to hear all about his grand adventure.

Mom's are always relieved when their world travelers come home. I don't care if they are 45 minutes away. I still worry all the time.
I hope he lets you blog about some of his adventures and maybe some of his tips he learned about being a world traveler.
I'm so happy he had such a great time. That's awesome. I'm also glad that FisherHubby got some Starbucks :)

Yes,yes...one trip abroad calls for another. It's only fair, see, since there was so much he missed the first time, and things he should have done, but he just didn't know. It really would be a waste of time and money if he didn't go back and do everything he should have. I mean, really now...how can you argue with that logic? I couldn't and Ian ended up making 3 trips!!!

I am so thankful that he is home safe and sound. How fun it must be listening to the stories of his travels!
I wish I would have been so worldly when I was younger. I love what kids see today. My son too has been well traveled. Isn't it wonderful when they are home safe & sound? Enjoy!

Man, how great that he's doing all this traveling. I can't imagine going to Sweden....well, since I've never been out of the country except for Mexico, I guess I can't! I'm sure he will let you tell his stories on your blog!!!

Actually, I have heard of such early arrivals. I think I've even been on one, but my dementia won't let me recall it for sure.
