Many of you have asked where in the world I've been.

All I know is that after 7 plus years of blogging and a different lappy, which I don’t like, I seem to have lost my blogging fervor.

Someday, when you least expect it, I will post again.

For those of you still waiting I say thank you.

Meanwhile, I am rather prolific on twitter. Find me: @KeethaB

Sunday on My Vacation

.

Some call it vacation.

Others call it going on holiday.

I call it bliss.

Fisherhubby and I have been returning to the same vacation destination for so many years that we have forgotten the count.

We love it and sometimes our hearts feel more at "home" here than anywhere else. For me, it WAS once home - - - my childhood home.

Today I'm sharing a bit of this "heart home" with you.

The bell carillon at the corner of the Catholic Church. The "new" Catholic Church, "new" since my childhood days.

The Congregational Church - quaintly appealing - - -

From every angle.

"Our" lake glistening in the late afternoon sunlight.

I do so love the play of sun and shadow on the lake in the late afternoon,

My favorite time of day.

And just a little later, a lone fisherman sets out to ply his trade.

He glides silently across the water to take his wary prey by surprise.

Not to worry giant goliaths of the deep, he rarely takes you from your briny depths to deliver you to my frying pan.

Today my city is Hayward, Wisconsin

It sounds perfect. I don't think I get a vacation this year and thou I need one badly, I'm trying to find restful times and places in my home. Not the same and it doesn't allow me to get away from work email...

What a charming vacation spot! Looks like a place I would like to visit. Maybe one day I will get to see your neck of the woods.

Hayward, Wis is much lovelier than Hayward, CA. Great photos.
Be well.

Happy vacation Keetha! I hope you are having a great time!! :) I was assuming that where you moved is where you used to vacation...I guess I was wrong! Hope you are having lots of fun, resting, relaxing and eating good food (I always say on vacation you need to eat dessert at the minimum once a day).

I like that you call it bliss because that is what it looks like.

A very peaceful view of Hayward, and it shows how much you look forward to returning each year.

You just raised the number of potential vacationers by a dozen or so. Good work PR lady!

Our family never did have a vacation spot like that. I bet it's been a lot of very fun times.

I've missed you since I've been traveling. I'll be catching up soon!!

I have just caught up on the vacation. Wow! you had some good time, didn't you. Such beautiful country. I think you feel about the lake as I do about the beach. It feeds your soul, doesn't it?

So glad you enjoyed your travels! Hopefully I will be able to check in more regularly now.
