Many of you have asked where in the world I've been.

All I know is that after 7 plus years of blogging and a different lappy, which I don’t like, I seem to have lost my blogging fervor.

Someday, when you least expect it, I will post again.

For those of you still waiting I say thank you.

Meanwhile, I am rather prolific on twitter. Find me: @KeethaB

Sunday Reruns - Nappie Tale

.

Today is Sunday again, and you know what THAT means!?! It's time for "Sunday Favorites"!!!

Sunday Favorites are RERUNS, not current posts - - - if you want to participate, just repost something you previously posted "back in the day."

Thanks so much to Chari over at Happy to Design for hosting this meme. You may click on the link to find the rules and see more favorite posts.

When we get together with our four children and their families, there is never a dull moment. Our oldest son accounts for much of this, and here is just ONE of his tales:

Diaper Disposal 101

(First posted on Sept. 11, 2008)

We've all seen them.

We've all smelled them.

We've all wondered how such precious, innocent, little toddlers could create so MANY of them!!!

I even have friends who COUNTED how many their son created in his diaper-wearing career.

We've all had to dispose of them. But perhaps only a few of us have done so in this particular way:

A few days ago when all our family was together for a few hours, my son-in-law, Jason took one of these, which had been freshly and ripely filled, and placed it under the front seat in Number One Son, Kelly's car.

It was fresh, it was ripe. We all thought Kelly would detect its presence the moment he entered his car. We were wrong.

Somehow he managed to drive all the way home without realizing he had an extra passenger.

Somehow he managed to park, exit, and lock his car IN THE SUN for 26 hours without any cognizance at all that he had a stow-away aboard.

At the end of this cooking interval, he said he could smell the diaper before he even opened the door.

While this brought peals of laughter from all of us, I'm afraid our laughter will be short lived because if ANYONE on this planet is the king of paybacks, it would be Number One Son.

First I skewed up my nose, second I skewed up my whole face and third I unskewed it all and laughed out loud. How funny!

Was there a payback?

Yes, you know what they say about paybacks! And this prank deserves a doozy of a payback. So was there one? Or is he still keeping you all watching your backs, waiting for it?!

I'm laughing too, and I'm pretty sure that waiting for his paybacks could be just as excruciating as the actual prank would turn out to be. Too funny!

Ripe is not the word. LOL My face is wincing because I could actually smell it. UGH. LOL.

Hi Keetha...

Ohhhh my gosh...I can't even imagine how bad that must have been...after sitting in a sun cooked car for 24 hours! Eeeeekkkss!!! My stomach is doing "flip flops" right now...

Ohhh yes...paybacks are hell! I have a feeling that Kelly found "just the right" shinanigan for repayment too! Hehe!

Well dear friend, so good to hear from you! Girl, we have been so busy this summer that I am really struggling with my blogging. I hate that, but at the same time...I sure have been enjoying my summer! Hope that you are having a great summer as well! Thanks for sharing this funny post with us for the Sunday Favorites party this week! What a hoot!

Have a wonderful week, sweet lady!

practical jokes are always a joy! Many years ago someone I know played a joke on a couple who got married. When they decorated the getaway car he put an open can of sardines up in the springs under the driver's seat of the car. They smelled it and looked all over for it (on their honeymoon trip driving to California) but never found it and had to drive with the windows down the whole trip. Could be considered mean but funny I guess, for those that helped.
