Look who came to visit just down the lake shore from where we'll be going on vacation next week!!
Look closely and you'll find him in this picture too. No, not Jason, although he's quite BRAVE to stand so near that bear!! I WON'T give you a clue where to look, that would spoil your treasure hunt.
Fisherhubby and I keep our eyes peeled for these guys the WHOLE time we are up in the northwoods. Since this one was just sighted so near our vacation cabin, I'm guessing we'll get "skunked" er I mean "beared" this year.

Girls, I've been WANTING one of these for ages!!! Seems I CANNOT keep the front of myself clean when I eat in a restaurant. I'm going to tuck this little blingy baby right in my purse and never WEAR my lunch again.Oh yes I AM going to wear my blingy baby out in public. Just you hide and watch and see if I don't.

The grans enjoying a sultry picnic in their back yard. Just look at those sweaty heads - - - I think it must be HOT there, don't you??
This is a time honored tried and true way to cool down on a hot Indiana afternoon.

One Sunday our pastor was losing his voice, so he had our young friend Marcus read the scripture for him.I just gotta tell you - - - I'm sooooo sorry you can't ALL come to our church to hear our pastor preach! I don't know why we aren't running 500 or more every single Sunday. I believe if they would just come to hear him once, they'd be back!
Oh no, I do NOT say that about every pastor we've had. Orator preachers are few and far between in my experience, and Pastor Van Natta is one of the rare ones.

Hello?? What have we here? Someone unearthed this circa 1968 picture. That's me second from the left.Too bad "they" can't spell my name. Kudzu Keetha, I bet YOU feel my pain. Hehehehehehe

Holy COW, the mosquitoes are SO bad--I don't think they have ever been worse. Can't wait to go camping...yikes.
Love your pics this week! :) And how nice is it that your pastor is awesome.
We had a little bear just like that a month or so ago--Cute little guy. I'll take the black ones any time. Did you hear that horrible story today about the grizzly attack at Yellowstone? (So glad I'm done hiking this summer.)
I'd have a hard time staying away from that cute bear. But he'd probably not be so cute has he was digging his claws into me.
Sweaty-headed grands are too cute! And from Indiana? Double thumbs up!
If you showed up wearing that "thing" in public, I might act like I don't know you.
Don't feel bad, even my mama never spelled my name the same twice! Once it was Nancy Grace and then it was Nancy Grayce. Sigh.
We have a canopy that we use sometimes. I think we may set ours up to sit under and have some shade. Thanks for the idea!
HELLO!
First I want to thank you for yoour visit!!
Second, I think you did a fantastic job on your basement guest bedroom!!
So many pretty things and all are just my style!!
Hope you have a great day!!
Hugs,
Debbie
YIKES, watch out for those bears!
No bears here in town--but I did have chipmunks, deer, and bunnies yesterday afternoon.
Bless those water sprinklers! In the heat I'm tempted to get in there with the kids!
I love all these pieces of your life! That bear in the tree--oh my heavens!!!!
And I agree with you about orator pastors!
We are SO BLESSED to have not ONE but TWO great preaching pastors at our home church in AL and I'm thrilled! I've always loved the pastors at the churches where I worked and have been amazingly blessed by such fantastic speakers.
Okay, I've rambled enough!
Hugs/blessings,
Lana
YIKES..that bear scares me! Patio furniture is so expensive new...we just pick up ours at yard sales and enjoy it. Playing in the sprinkler brought back lots of fun memories ..that's all we did when we were kids...that and a slipper slide..
I'm gonna have me one of those bibs -- I've been threatening for years and gosh-darn-it, I'm gonna do it.
The mosquitos here are really bad too. They said especially the "wood mosquitos" -- what? never knew there were wood mosquitos.
Love all the fun pictures but most of all seeing you as a teen. Great picture. So pretty then and so beautiful now.
That beat was close!!! Wow! Love the grands and the sprinkler! It's perfect summer to me. Oh I must see you with your apron on girl! I too wear my lunch all the time...sigh it's hard to get old. hugs, Linda
Oh my gosh! Jason is a Rockstar!! I would have been terrified! Your kids are adorable!
what did Brunhilda and Borris
think of this bear?
there is no way in hell i would be standing by that tree with the bear in it.(i said HELL)
i wish i could go to your church and hear your pastor speak or listen to someone that would speak for him.
Love the bear pics ... I would have been nervous, I think ;-)
And I got some new ideas for keeping cool in the summer heat.
I hope you get to see a bear Keetha!
I have had my share and it's cool when you are looking out a window but not so cool when they are running towards you.
I will come visit before the summer is over!
Hugs,
Cindy
My husband and I were just talking about how neither one of us ever camped. Just as we were taling about it the news came on about a bear attacking and killing a man in a park...yikes!
They are cute but I do not want to run into one!

OMG, There's A Bear! Up In The Tree! We were so disappointed that we didn't see any bears when we were up there. Lots of deer but no bears. I guess my aunt runs into them on a regular basis when she's out walking. If I were her, I'd start carrying a club or something, just in case!
Interesting reveal...religion centered family and science teaching vocation. But the most interesting reveal were your glasses. Then again my glasses in the 1980s were large like a greyhound bus windshield. Have fun with the bear.
