My NEW bloggy friend, Jan, this first photo is for YOU!!!
Don't you just LOVE summertime footwear??? A pedi and a pair of flip flops are all you need!!!!
These are a few of my favorite flip flops. Yes, I do have more that aren't shown here - - - they are flopping around on my closet floor.
If you are wondering where I got flip flops with footballs on them, (which is a FAQ every time I show them) you too can find them, and other very fun adornments (like golf balls or fish) here.
Ye Olde Ed is interrupting this post to give info about flip flops and pedis. I buy ALL my flip flops at Dollar General or Big Lots. CHEAP CHEAP CHEAP!!! That way I can have a lot of them. A girl NEEDS a lot of them.
The pedi - - - I get one done every two or three weeks AT THE BEAUTY SCHOOL. The price there just went UP to $13. They do a fabulous job and again - - - CHEAP CHEAP CHEAP so I can get them often in the sum, sum, summertime!
How about a summertime afternoon with the grans?
Yes, my grans ARE the cutest children on the planet, TYVM for noticing!!! ;-)
Even better when you're celebrating a birthday - - - a SECOND birthday. Piper's two.
Elmo LOVED the party until he had to "give his all" for it! :-)
My daughter, Keri, made Mr. Elmo cake ALL BY HERSELF!!!! Isn't she just the greatest???? Uh, yah - - - I taught her all she knows.
NOT
After cake and ice cream, we watched Toy Story Two. Piper is INTO Toy Story two. Do you see what she is clutching in her lap?
Well, let's take a closer look!!!
These really belong to big brother Mackinley, but Piper "needs" them to watch the movie.
Seems that the movie enthralled kids of ALL ages, even mama Keri!
Sometimes when your friends TRAVEL in the summertime, they are reminded of YOU!!! This is my friend Shannon who now lives in Texas, but vacationed in my home state and sent me this picture to PROVE she thought of me.
Even little Miss Halle is giving the Badgers a thumbs up.
Thank you, Shannie!!! I love, love, LOVE it!!!

I'm so honored you posted this! Go Badgers!
Hey Keetha,
Those are some adorable grandkids you have! And of course, GO BADGERS!
See ya soon,
Cindy
Oh, your grandkids are adorable - and I love their matching outfits...look at that cake!!!
I like wearing flip flops and having a pedi always makes you feel special ...
It's great you had a nice visit with your family. Thanks for sharing :-)
Go Elmo! Love that cake.
OH, and have you seen the ridiculous prices on some of the flip flops out there in the stores... cute, but NO WAY! Hope you have found a place to buy affordable ones with that collection you have. *giggles*
DI
I'm HONORED to be your 'flip flop friend'! Your collection is really nice....love those blue ones! And nice toes, girl!
Ok, you have the most adorable grandchildren on the planet! How precious are THEY!?!?!?!
SO happy we've hooked up here on BLOGLAND!
Hugs,
Jan
Love your "Flippy Floppies! I made some with grapes on them once. BTW I'll have you to know that I watched Toy Story (the first) about 40 times when my grandies were little. I laughed every single time over the T-Rex's little arms and the time he barfed!
Ahhhhh....those little grands ARE cute...almost as cute as mine!!! :) I loved the cake your girl made....awesome job. Thanks for sharing the sweet little birthday celebration!!!!
LOVE your collection of flip flops!! I have lots, too...also cuz I buy them cheap! Great idea about the thrift peds....I haven't treated my poor old piggies to that in a very long time!!!
Are you loving your summer....sorry, that was a stupid question! Of COURSE you are!!
Dana
Your grand daughters' dresses are so adorable! Looks like a fun party.
PS Love your flips photo!
I do own a pair of flip flops, but I'm more of a teva sport sandals type. But, I cannot wait to take advantage of the $13 pedicure. Is this in the Marion area?
Nice collection of flip-flops. Your toes look awesome. Love that cake, she did a great job. I can't wait to see the new Toy Story. I just bought a few gifts for my great nephew at Target with Toy Story 3 on them! I will be going to Florida to see my dad and I need gifts for the little ones.
Your grandchildren are the cutest!
Ann - - - yep, the pedi's are from the Spa Academy which is right downtown on Washington Street.
You can get hair done there too!
Nice feet!
As well as your Grandbabes, who are undeniably beautiful, your feet are pretty photogenic too. I wish I could have flip flops - cheaper the better - but I can't have the bit between my toes. I get a pedi evry 6 weeks or so and she'll throw in the nail painting if you ask her. I should think so for 20 quid!
What a great summer post.
We are into Toy Story at our house, too.
What a great post!
Love all the flip flops! We can wear them almost all year here...and lots of folks do!
And, those children...tooooo cute! So into that movie!
Love the flip flops. I look forward to flip flop wearing summer days ALL WINTER LONG!
Yay for summer!
Thanks for the props, Momma! Of course I learned from YOU! :) You are a talented cake-maker!
Every time I see a pair of cool looking Flip Flops I want to get them for you - then I remember that I don't know your shoe size.
If you send me your shoe size I may photograph your size and send it to you LOL
Oh, I'm on a roll tonight!
Your grandbabies :) They make me smile.
I have just boring flip flops but I like yours a lot. I always forget about the beauty school for treatments. What a great idea and I'd love a pedicure. We have one where I live.
