Many of you have asked where in the world I've been.

All I know is that after 7 plus years of blogging and a different lappy, which I don’t like, I seem to have lost my blogging fervor.

Someday, when you least expect it, I will post again.

For those of you still waiting I say thank you.

Meanwhile, I am rather prolific on twitter. Find me: @KeethaB

Finding My Outer Blonde

.

When people call me a blonde, I look around to find to whom they are speaking.

I do NOT see myself as a blonde. I see myself as a gal with mousy brown hair and blonde highlights.

Vast difference.

Today I went to see my lovely stylist, Amy. I told her that I don't see myself as a blonde.

She said, "But Keetha, you ARE a blonde."

I said, "Nope, I'm a mousy brown with blonde highlights.

See what I mean???? See that obvious mousy brown being masked by the lovely blonde highlights?????

Amy looked at me like I was crazy, smiled, and said: "You're a blonde in denial!"

I came home and asked Fisherhubby, who is ever honest with me - - - sometimes painfully so, if I was a blonde.

He said, "Nope. You're brown with blonde highlights!"

And he would certainly know. LOL They say only your hair dressser knows for sure, but yours is wrong wrong wrong.

Blonde with brown lowlights? It seems like the brown hairs should outnumber the blondies if that's your hair color.

However, take that with a grain of salt. My husband says I have enough gray hair to officially consider it my highlights. :)

I'm not nearly as blond as you and I call myself a blond!! : ))

That's funny. I was always a blonde as a kid. As I got older (and especially after having kids), my hair got darker. I now have brown hair. I do add blonde highlights though. I always think of my hair as blonde... like it used to be... not brown like it actually is.

LOL...what different perspectives...I say brown with blond highlights...but the affect is...blond! Come say hi :D

I'd say there's nothing mousy about you!! Plus you look great for being a million years old...!

Hey, keep all the brown you can. My "blond highlights?" are just pigmently challenged. I've got a HUGE streak of what my mother calls "grey" :)

whatever color you call it, it's cute!

You're so funny! Your highlights look great! For the last four years I've gotten my highlights from grey! Before that I was just whatever color struck me while at my hairdresser!

Just do more blonde...lol...I am trying to grow all my years of coloring out..what a pain...almost there though...I know it makes me look older but I love the freedom of not coloring...we shall see...

Mice - by Rose Fyleman

I think mice
are rather nice.
Their tails are long,
Their faces small,
They haven't any
Chins at all.

Their ears are pink,
Their teeth are white.
They run around
The house at night.

They nibble things
They shouldn't touch
And no one seems
To like them much.

But I think mice
are nice.

Whatever the color, your hair is so cute, and I want mine cut just like that! Too bad Amy doesn't live near me. ♥

My hairdresser described me as light brown with highlights and I should also let her put some chocolate brown in there too. So I did and the whole world hated it. I was never meant to be dark haired. See? I told 'em I was blonde!

Just a note to KIRBY3131: hey, you just described me there!
