We are HOME safe and sound. I'll have a post about our day of travel AND more fun from our weekend with family later.
For NOW, just to give you a chuckle - - - "check out" my nearly 82 year old dad:
This is ESPECIALLY for my Marion friends who know him from church!!!! CAN YOU BELIEVE IT?!?
He flew to Florida yesterday with my sister and niece, and OBVIOUSLY he is feeling free and easy now that my mom is in Heaven and can't direct his paths anymore. They are walking on the streets of Sister Pam's "posh" condominium neighborhood - - - not on the beach!!!!
For those of you who don't know him - - - this is fun/funny/and SHOCKING to us because dad is the MOST CONSERVATIVE RETIRED PREACHER you've ever met!!!! He used to mow his yard wearing his "old" dress shoes and shirt.
I'm sure mom is in Heaven doing everything in her POWER to get a message to him to PUT HIS SHIRT ON!!!

Good for him! I think..lol...
OH, how cute! I'll bet your mom is pointing her finger down, saying put that shirt back on!
That is a great sight of your dad. I really enjoyed this post. I can relate to his actions. Even tho he may be conservative and a pastor, he is still human.
what a wild man!
That's hilarious! My Pop is 84...and he is also venturing out of the norm! And, we just say, "go for it!" Seems though that Joy and I have stepped into the role of reminding him what he needs to do. Like, we told him his motorcycle riding was over last year. LAST YEAR! He agreed. And, we will not let him drive at night.
We're blessed to still have them!
He looks Great!!! I sure hope he has Sun Block on(Now I'm sounding like your Mom)...My Dad is 85...Hugs to you, Donna
At the risk of sounding slightly creepy... WOW! He is a good looking fella! I NEVER (never ever) would have guessed that he is 82. I think this is a testament to a Godly man taking good care of his earthly vessel.
And Keetha, it's probably a second childhood. I am SO looking forward to my second childhood because the first one was awfully fun :)
That's scary, JKH . . .
Living in the now! love it!
He is enjoying soaking in some sunshine, good for him.
Your Dad has surely realized that life is too short ~ pitch the shirt! Way to go!
Great picture and I'm glad you are home safely. Keep warm!

Dad's gone wild! Love it and his new sense of living in the moment.
Hilarious Keetha!
Looks like he's having the time of his life!
Hugs,
Cindy
Good on him, I say - he looks like a lovely chap.
Perhaps one day someone will explain to me why most US men just get better-looking with age, whilst English men when they get older just look like a shucked oyster left out in the sun for eight weeks... I demand justice!!!
love,
Roo (Mrs. Jasper)
Wooo! Isn't that a sight! I must say, I only knew him from the usual church gatherings...so this is a VERY shocking photo for me. But it's nice that he's so care-free! Not many people are.
Must be nice and warm for it is not here.
Good for him to enjoy showing some skin
Keep an eye out for those nude colonies trying to get him to join, giggle
haha! I always wonder what in the heck I'm going to do when I get to be older than I am right now LOL Something that will of course make my family gasp :) I can't wait to find out!
That is so cute and funny!
I am literally LOLing. :-)
