Many of you have asked where in the world I've been.

All I know is that after 7 plus years of blogging and a different lappy, which I don’t like, I seem to have lost my blogging fervor.

Someday, when you least expect it, I will post again.

For those of you still waiting I say thank you.

Meanwhile, I am rather prolific on twitter. Find me: @KeethaB

Forget-Me-Not Debut

.

Last night we had friends over for dinner. I decided to set the table with Forget-Me-Nots.

A tablescaper I am not. I just don't see the purpose of useless fru-fru like chargers and what-nots. (I don't like to WASH dishes that much!) But I do like an attractive table.

I think less can be more.

So, I picked up six forget-me-not blue placemats at the "local watering hole." I used them to frame my Haviland Forget-Me-Not dinner plates and Boopie stemware.

I was pleased with the result. No need of a fancy smancy centerpiece - - -

Because the food took center stage!

Spaghetti casserole, salad and rolls

Our friends Connie, Jim and their lovely girls were our honored guests.

After dinner we played Catch Phrase for hours.

I believe that fun was had by all - - - especially when they could laugh at my level of game playing intensity.

Let's just say - - - I like to win.

On Saturday, 2/26/11 - - - linking this post to a BYOG (Bring Your Own Grub) party over at "Wit Behind the Ears."

First You KNOW "I LOVE those dishes"! Ahhh! and I am a firm believer that "Our tables should reflect us". I don't believe I HAVE to set the table BY THE BOOK!!! Your table is gorgeous, Smart, Fun and "Just LOOK AT ALL THOSE HAPPY FACES"! That tells the story... I Love playing games, Hubby doesn't SO I wear out my folks when they come to visit. We play Lots of cribbage... Have a wonderful weekend,
Hugs, Donna

This is too funny but I get your point. Your table is pretty, the food looks scrumptious but most of all the fellowship of friends having fun and enjoying a meal together. That's what it's all about.

looks just great! We actually played Catch Phrase a week ago in a 12 hour power outage, it was the only thing besides the candles that glowed. We played with a new friend of my kids who could NOT explain anything....or get any clues, we laughed so hard we were all wiping away tears! great time

You like to win? You? Really? Of all the things you have revealed about yourself, that one I knew LOL

I'm happy to see that you invited some folks over from some dinner - did you make it? :)

The table setting is lovely.

I LIKE YOU!

Everything you said from your header, "His grace is new each morning" down to your letting the food take center stage and your loving to win... I love.

THOSE DISHES ARE BEAUTIFUL! When it comes to floral patterns on china, I'm super picky, but those I really like. I had a dog named Boopie, who knew she has stemware named after her?

Now, if I can just get your recipe for spaghetti casserole, sounds like something my family would enjoy. And the game... Did the young girls play too? I have an eleven year old and we'd like to come up with some games to play together.

Oh yeah, and thank you for linking up... you certainly didn't need to include a link to us in your post, but we appreciate your effort... and this post fits in to the 'no rules linky' PERFECTLY! We're a pretty laid back bunch over there... especially when people are bringing food!

Oh no what have I done? You and Anna meeting up? When one of you falls off your office chair from laughing to hard at the antics of other I will not be held responsible!

I never use a centerpiece either ~ bring on the grub. The spaghetti dish sounds great. My kids have suddenly developed an aversion to red pasta sauce. Yet pizza sauce is not a problem. Hmm... maybe I should make a spaghetti pizza. Wouldn't that freak them out!

I love game nights. We have to keep it simple with our kids but we adapt a lot of games and have a great time.

Hope you're staying warm.

Dawn! My three year old is doing the same thing! All of the sudden anything red is blood!!! *slaps forehead* (mine, not the three year old's)

Psst, let me tell you a secret. Your beautiful Haviland doesn't need any of those fussy tablescapes when combined with good friends:)

Is Fisherhubby wearing a Georgia Bulldogs shirt? I am a fan :)

It looks like you all had a wonderful evening. Your china is beautiful and I agree whole heartedly with Gwen.
