Many of you have asked where in the world I've been.

All I know is that after 7 plus years of blogging and a different lappy, which I don’t like, I seem to have lost my blogging fervor.

Someday, when you least expect it, I will post again.

For those of you still waiting I say thank you.

Meanwhile, I am rather prolific on twitter. Find me: @KeethaB

Lest The Pictures in My Post of Yesterday Gave You An Erroneous Impression - - -

.

It is still winter here, and will be, by the calendar, the rotation of the sun, and the tilt of Earth upon its axis until March 21.

Being a winter lover, I was very glad yesterday when we had this:

And more of this:

All day long - to the tune of 8+ new inches of fluffy white stuff to cover the old "getting very cruddy" snow.

Sometimes the weather folk on TV "blow" these winter storms all out of proportion. (Pun intended)

Sometimes, when a lot of snow is anticipated, they begin to use terms like "blizzard" and "blizzard conditions."

Now while we DID get a lot of snow, during the entire storm one could see AT LEAST a half a block away. There was never a true "white out" and thus, it was simply an ordinary winter storm and not a blizzard.

I did not have to tie a rope from my front door to the mailbox in order to check my mail without getting lost in the storm, so it was not a blizzard.

You read it here first.

And now - - - I have more lovely shoveling to do AND we may be able to break out our xc skis which we couldn't use during the two weeks of February Thaw we had sadly been experiencing until yesterday.

Vive la winter - - - until March 21st when I shall expect spring.

I think I would just not go get the mail if it came to that! So true about the media blowin thngs out of proportion ..sometimes all they have to talk about, I guess.

Happy for you ... winter has returned. I chuckled at your last sentence remembering snow well into April and even May on a few occasions. Yes, the media does over-report these days. Why, I remember (back in the day) going to school ... well I don't have to finish ... you were there too. (smile)

Awe! Our hearts love the same chilly weather! It was getting a bit too springy here as well, but this afternoon I can hear the tap tap tap of little ice pellets falling from the sky. That good ol' precipitation with low kinetic energy. (See...I paid attention in class.)

Why would one run to the mailbox on Sunday or President's Day?

I'm glad you love your snow. We have had a few storms but not enough to eat a snow ice cream, which my daughter is getting pretty perterbed about. We have to have a least a 6 incher before the season ends so she can have a least on ice cream.

Ooh...gorgeous photos, Keetha...I'm a winter lover too! My part of the world specializes in rain and more rain...not quite as charming as snow, so I enjoyed seeing your shots! I also love your Wisconsin sunsets...they're well worth reposting.

So glad you stopped by my page. I've been remiss in visiting, but will drop in again soon...

I think it is a very good thing when one likes the situation one is in. How sad if a body really hated the snow and was living where snow was a normal thing. Like me...I would be a mite unhappy and most surely would be pouting a lot. It is 78 here today! Love it. But, it won't stay yet. We always have one last cold snap around Easter and then it warm and hot and hotter till fall. Enjoy that beautiful snow!
