Many of you have asked where in the world I've been.

All I know is that after 7 plus years of blogging and a different lappy, which I don’t like, I seem to have lost my blogging fervor.

Someday, when you least expect it, I will post again.

For those of you still waiting I say thank you.

Meanwhile, I am rather prolific on twitter. Find me: @KeethaB

The American Birkebeiner

.

Tomorrow is the Great American Birkebeiner which ends amidst the clanging of cow bells on Main Street in Hayward, Wisconsin. Hayward is where we spend the two weeks of our summer vacation.

Main Street is Ready.

I'm not even THERE and I'm excited!

Fisherhubby and I plan to be there one year to ring our cow bells, but alas it won't be tomorrow because Fisherhubby has to work.

Next year in Hayward!!

Oh, look at this! And cow bells? Somehow it seems appropriate!

You Wisconson folks sure know how to have a good time!

In Leadville, CO (30 mi north of my home), next weekend they are having their annual Ski-Joring and Dog Sled Mushing Competition. Ski-Joring is NUTS...skiers are pulled behind a horse and jump over gigantic snow hills. The horses are going full-tilt~as are the skiers. LOTS of crashes, too.

I see that Wisconson and Colorado people love winter! Well, it's SNOW so you may as well play in it!

Wish you could attend your celebration (I have a 'visual' of you clanging the bell and screaming). Maybe next year!

Thanks for sharing. It's always fun to see what other people do for fun!

Hugs
Jan

Fun!

We dump snow here in South Florida, but it's just for the snow-deprived kids to play in, and then it's melted by the afternoon. Happened here this weekend. I'll probably post pics. :)
