Many of you have asked where in the world I've been.

All I know is that after 7 plus years of blogging and a different lappy, which I don’t like, I seem to have lost my blogging fervor.

Someday, when you least expect it, I will post again.

For those of you still waiting I say thank you.

Meanwhile, I am rather prolific on twitter. Find me: @KeethaB

You Know You're OLD When - - -

.

Celebrating your birthday means going to Wally World, the grocery store, and out to eat AND you LIKE it that way!!!

First, before all that "frivolity" could begin, my friend Connie came by and brought me this! Isn't she smart and wonderful!

Fisherhubby got me more puzzles, the "primitive art" style I love AND - - -

A new six foot folding table on which to work my puzzles down in the FBC. Wasn't he just the clever one to find EXACTLY what I wanted and give it to me for my birthday????

That'll happen when you go to the store with them and PICK IT ALL OUT FOR YOURSELF!

:-)

Next we went to the grocery store where RIGHT IN THE POTATO aisle someone had built this masterpiece out of boxes of Coca-Cola.

Weren't they talented?

Looks like we may be headed for a potato famine though.

We finished off the wild craziness with dinner at El Mezcal, our new favorite restaurant in town.

It is so cute inside and out. Oh, we are STILL the number one La Charreada fans, but seven and a half hours one way is just a tad too long a trip for us to make just for dinner, so we were happy to find El Mezcal.

I got the shrimp burrito platter AND I've got a box of left-overs in the fridge for later today.

YUM!!

The last time I went to El Mezcal it was with my friend Stephanie. I dropped a bottle of hot sauce on the tile floor, shattering it and spraying her gorgeous white coat with red hot sauce. Last night I managed to toss a full dish of salsa down the front of my Colts hoodie and jeans.

I guess I really shouldn't be taken out in public!

I did learn one thing though - - - after being stared at like I was a leper - - - Colts fans are in a minority of ONE around these here parts! Seems like everyone else is wearing yellow and green for some strange reason.

Including Fisherhubby.

You sound like my kind of train wreck. Hot sauce on the coat? Did it ever come out?
Salsa down the front of you...are you sure your arm wasn't pushed by one of those non-Colts fans.

Happy birthday. sorry about the coat incident, I once spilled a glass of Mountain Dew and the lovely funny waiter brought me a refill with a cover over the nice glass (he was really grinning because he got such a kick out of it)
have a wonderful day

Fisherhubby has GREAT taste in gifts :)

My dad calls Walmart my home away from home. Can I help it if I can find just about anything in there? I think not.

Have a Happy New Year Keetha!

My family loves puzzles too! I gave my Daughter a box that has 10 puzzles in it for Christmas! It sounds like you ended up having a lovely birthday dinner even with a little stuff dripped down the front of your shirt:) Enjoy your leftovers today and some puzzle fun on your new table! HUGS and wishes for a Happy and Healthy New Year from ME!

We go to Sam's Club for date night and if it's a really special date, we go to Walmart afterwards! I love me some Mexican food!

I took the grands to eat while they were here and dumped a whole glass of coke in my lap, so I know how that feels!

Gee yellow and green, how unusual for Wisconsin! Maybe you some grip gloves like they use to hold the football when you go out to eat.
Your gifts are wonderful, you picked the perfect ones. Sounds like a great birthday. Awesome coke display too! Happy New Year!

For just a minute I thought all that coke was in your cave! Haha! Love the puzzles and the new table. Have a happy birthday!

Your food spilling may become legendary if you don't watch out! I do believe your blue is just a speck in the sea of green and yellow.

You picked out some mighty fine bday gifts - love that table! Seriously, I have always wanted one of those portable tables. I use my antique ironing board for projects, but it certainly isn't wide enough for a puzzle.

My horrid birthday will be Friday and I know the hubster is plotting and scheming but I haven't figured it out yet. I say 'horrid' because it's a big one and ends in '0'. Whatever the plot is I hope eating is involved at some point because it's my favourite pastime.

All those puzzles ought to keep your brain trained for a week or two and having a table that's BIG enough helps. Ha ha - picking it all out for yourself - it's what I do too and Keith always thinks he thought of it himself. He still hasn't caught on though that if he buys things with his credit card I am ALWAYS going to know what they are because I am the household accounts clerk!
