"My boys" are going bowling and I couldn't be any prouder!!!!
Oh, but mes amis, this isn't just ANY old bowl - - - this is the GRAND DADDY of all bowls - - -
The Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California.
I'm sure we all have memories of many a New Year's Day watching the Rose Bowl Parade, and whether or not you love football as I do, I imagine somewhere in the house at least ONE television was tuned in to that most famous of all bowls - - - the Rose Bowl!!!!
Well, THIS YEAR, it will be "my boys" playing on that field. This is not our FIRST Rose Bowl Dance, Wisconsin has been to the Rose Bowl six times and won it three of those. But this is our first trip back there since January of 2000.
You'll be able to tell which ones are "my boys" - - - they will be the bold RED (and white) band running right up the middle of that smaller purple purple line. Running the ball right down the throat of the opponent - - - that is how football is PLAYED in Wisconsin.
And if you READ this blog, you better NEVER DARE pull for that little purple line. At least you better NEVER DARE let me KNOW you did.
And the red will NOT be confined to the gridiron. Oh no my friends!!! The entire stadium will be ablaze in crimson for the Badger Nation will flock to California in droves to support Bucky Badger!!!!
On Wisconsin!!!!

Had the Lakeview Christmas party last night. Missed you!
Wisconsin was in the Rose Bowl when we lived there in middle school. Loved it!
Go Wisconsin, Go Big Ten!
I've got my ear to the ground to get tickets. If I do, I'll wear my red just for YOU!
Those Badgers have had a great year! I'm a little nervous for next yr. and Nebraska joining the Big Ten. Changes are good, I hope. I look forward to watching the Rose Bowl
That's lots more snow than we had. Ours is pretty much gone and it's just flurrying today, well... kinda sorta. VERY light flurries.

I can hear the excitement in your voice! Hope it is a great game! HUGS!
Congratulations! That IS a really big deal!
May we hear many a chorus of "Hot Time in the Old Town Tonight" played after ever Wisconsin TD!
I wish you all well - I still believe that MSU should have gone to the Rose Bowl since you all lost to us, but I'll just tuck my tail and cheer for you :)

Go Badgers!! You really made me chuckle with this post!
At least I'm safe cause you know I'm a Badger fan!!!
Hugs,
From your very cold and shivering friend down the road.

OK OK I'll support red but surely SOMEWHERE in the stadium they allow purple supporters? The corner near the bathrooms or right at the back?
Have fun
Wow, they will be right here by me.
That is very exciting. I love the Rose Bowl parade and have enjoyed going and seeing the floats the next day after the parade. Come on out and visit!!
Good luck to your team!
