Many of you have asked where in the world I've been.

All I know is that after 7 plus years of blogging and a different lappy, which I don’t like, I seem to have lost my blogging fervor.

Someday, when you least expect it, I will post again.

For those of you still waiting I say thank you.

Meanwhile, I am rather prolific on twitter. Find me: @KeethaB

While the Cat's Away - - -

.

Yesterday we packed up our car with a few of our "choice" belongings and around 1 AM we hit the highway.

As we drove, all through the the night, snow flurries swirled around us. They made white feathery "snakes" before and behind on the roads - - - but no slick spots to speak of.

By midmorning, we arrived at our gran's house in Indiana. Seems we brought the snow flakes with us.

We're here for the next few days to help take care of the grans while their mommy (the "cat" in the title) is in Africa and their daddy is workin' 9 to 5. Well, those aren't his actual hours, but you get the idea.

First Kamma took Mackinley to preschool and then picked him back up. He LOVES his school and his teacher.

Today there is no preschool, and since Kamma and Papoo are tired old things - - - and that all night driving business is hard on their old weary bones, we have decided to take a jammies day.

Jammies, snacks, and movies. What could be better?

Well, how about a spontaneous little dance to the movie music???

Even daddy got in the act with a twirl - - -

And a dip!

Later there was more fun making a cozy hide-away under the piano bench.

And through all this glorious activity, Papoo was a BIG HELP!

OK, OK, so I only caught him napping once and the rest of the time he was up and going strong with the kiddos, but where's the FUN in showing that???

.

Looks like some happy kids to see their sedate grandparents return to stay for a little while.

Glad you weren't driving on slippery stuff. It's challenging enough to be driving while sleepy. Do you take turns?

I honestly don't know how you can drive through the night. There's certainly a lot less traffic, I'd have to agree on that!

I hope your daughter has the experience of a lifetime in Africa and I'm glad you could be available to hang out with the grans. :)

You know, that sounds like a marvelous time bonding with your grandkids. Those are the times they'll remember - there's nothing better than just being together and being silly ;-)
I'm happy for your being able to do that!

All the best,
Doris and Gizzy ;-)

What's the point of blogging if you can't post slightly embarrassing photos of your family with your very own explanation to go with it!!

Gee, what a chore having to take care of those little cuties! I'll be you were grinning like a cheshire cat all the way south.

I'm going to take your advice re spam--well not on crackers--and eliminate one more step for my multitude of faithful followers. Buy, how does Blogger know what's spam and what isn't? It must be smarter than I give it credit for.

Thanks for the helpful hint and have fun!

Best,
Bonnie

What fabulous looking children, bless! They look so delightful - the little boy looks a lot like my 5 year-old nephew Ewan, except that he has dark hair! And WHAT a dancing queen the l'il lady is - a Broadway star in the making there!

Bad luck on Grampa getting busted asleep though, hehehe - he should have taken his nap in the WC, away from prying camera lenses!

Have a fantastic weekend!
love,
Ruth & Jasper xx

A nap is a good thing. Glad you documented it. Hope you get a great bowl game selection on Sunday. Five years ago we would be thrilled with this IA record but not this year. Yes the fans will travel to wherever the bowl is but its not what the hype machine predicted in August and we all drank the koolaid. I am happy for WI and you.
