Many of you have asked where in the world I've been.

All I know is that after 7 plus years of blogging and a different lappy, which I don’t like, I seem to have lost my blogging fervor.

Someday, when you least expect it, I will post again.

For those of you still waiting I say thank you.

Meanwhile, I am rather prolific on twitter. Find me: @KeethaB

Half Past OR Kissin' Time???

.

My friend Kristin made a post today about a kissing Mr. and Mrs. Clause, circa 1972, which have been a part of her lifelong Christmas memories.

They reminded me of the kissing angels I bought to use on the top of our wedding cake in 1975.

I guess kissing things were all the rage back in THOSE days!

Anyway, I have ALWAYS kept my little angels in a cherished place in my decor year around and I have ALWAYS kept them like this - - - just set apart a little bit as if they are kissing each other on the cheek - - - half past kissin' time so to speak.

Low and behold, Kristin says her MOTHER, who is probably about my age, does the same thing with the kissing Santas. Hmmmmm - - - what does this tell us about the psyche of us - - - Kristin's mom and me???? I

Kristin's mom says she sets them this way to let their little faces show more.

I will be more transparent - - - I am slightly embarrassed to leave my little angels locked in a passionate kiss before God and everybody for years and years. I do NOT display them like this - - -

locked in a lip-to-lip possibly French Kiss, which is the way Miss Kristin wants her mom's Mr. and Mrs. Clause to remain.

Hmmmmmm - - - how about you? Do you approve of Half Past or Kissin' Time???

And before I leave you let me remind you that TODAY is one of the BIGGEST reasons we continue to celebrate beyond Christmas Day itself and into the New Year. What is today you might well ask?

Here's a tiny, eensy, weensy, little hint:

Me AND the Beatles are singing Happy Birthday:) Yipppppeeee, CELEBRATION CONTINUES! Have a blessed day my friend, enjoy EVERY minute! HUGS!

Strikes forehead! Doh!

You are so subtle! (Happy birthday.)

I'm with you and Kristin's mom. My kissing ceramics get stored unpuckered. It's too tiring to kiss all year!

Another year wiser are you? Well Happy happy birthday!!

I figure that they are only out for a month or so each year - one long passionate kiss is well deserved! especially if Mrs. Clause never has her eyes open to see anything LOL

Love the little angels - how sweet :)

Happy Birthday, Keetha!!! Hope it's a dandy!!

Love how you presented us with your birthday today. It's a great day to celebrate. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
Your angels are precious. I never gave any thought to letting them kiss or not. I think I have two giraffes who are kissing but their necks wrap around each other so that is the best way they sit. I will have to go check them out. I told Kristin that I have a few sets from the 70's but I didn't put them out this year. I will have to take a picture of them when I get to packing things up!
Hope you have a wonderful day. xoxo

Hi Girlfriend...

Ahhh...I love your little Kissing Angels! I think it's so funny...I would leave mine in a full-blown...lip-locked...kiss! If it were me! Hehe! I bet your little angels made an adorable wedding cake topper! Love that idea!

Just coming by to say hello! I'm sorry about running out on Sunday Favorites this past weekend...but the kids were still here and we were running around shopping, etc., etc. Hehe! We'll be back to regular schedule this weekend!

Well dear friend, wishing you and your sweet family many blessings for a Happy New Year!

Love ya,
Chari

Have a gear and fab birthday. Too bad the Liverpool boys didn't sing it personally to you. Still, the song is from the White Album and is still performed by Sir Paul every so often on tour. Not bad for a 42 year old song.

Gasp! Is it your birthday? Happy birthday!

I remember those kissing angels. Someone in my family must have had a pair. They are cute, no matter the pose.
