Many of you have asked where in the world I've been.

All I know is that after 7 plus years of blogging and a different lappy, which I don’t like, I seem to have lost my blogging fervor.

Someday, when you least expect it, I will post again.

For those of you still waiting I say thank you.

Meanwhile, I am rather prolific on twitter. Find me: @KeethaB

Mom Update

I stopped by my parents house this evening and visited with dad. He is very weary - - - but wouldn't admit it on his own, of course.

Mom is pretty much sleeping around the clock now with very short periods of being awake interspersed here and there. She is comfortable and still for the most part.

The tissue deterioration continues to progress.

We're still praying that she will go quietly to sleep and wake up in heaven.

Beleive me, I understand.
When quality of life is zero, you begin to pray that the Lord carry them into HIs arms. We are at that point too.
My prayers are with you.

Keetha, I am so sorry to hear about your mom! I'm just getting caught up on blog-reading. I will continue to keep you and your family in my prayers.

She obviously loves life and is reluctant to leave it. She won't let go until God calls.

It's always hard to wait for his timing. My mom released life in the middle of a thunderstorm. We considered it an appropriate fanfare for her entrance into heaven.

Your poor dad. It has to be so hard and feel so helpless. Tell him how much we are thinking of him.

I can't imagine what this journey feels like for you. I'm thinking of you and praying for you.

The neighbor lady came in this afternoon and sat with mom while dad ran out to get a hair cut. That was his big "day out." He is really weary, though he won't ever utter one word of complaint.

I go by every day on my way home from school. He has all the "work" done, so I just visit with him.

You know that means so much to him right now Keetha. Wish we were close by to give more support to everyone. Your Dad is such a giving person, he would be preparing lunch for us if he knew we were coming.

Yes he would - - - although he doesn't try to convince me to eat there right now. I'm glad, makes me feel more helpful if he isn't working for me while I'm there!!!!
