On our way into town on Friday, we ran into this traffic jam on County "F." Honestly, how do the folks up here cope with such busy roads???? It's Sunday again, and you know what THAT means!?! It's time for Sunday Favorites!!!
Sunday Favorites are RERUNS, not current posts - - - if you want to participate, just repost something you previously posted "back in the day."
Thanks so much to Chari over at Happy to Design for hosting this meme, "Sunday Favorites." You may click on the link to find the rules and see more favorite posts.
I have been reposting favorites in order from the beginning of my blogging experience back in June of 2006 and moving toward "now." I have reached our Wisconsin vacation posts from the summer of 2008. Since we have just recently moved to Wisconsin I have decided to repost some of those posts that honor and highlight my beloved Badger State.
This is the SEVENTH and LAST of those Wisconsin Northwoods reposts.

And we were forced to drive past this eyesore. Just look at those white birch trunks against that green pine background - - - hideous!!!
Hope you know facetious, or is that sarcastic, when you see it. :-)
Meet Rosie. One of my blogging friends, Heather, left me a comment saying her M-I-L works across the street from West's Dairy.
Sunday when Greg and I accidentally were at cross purposes (surprise, surprise) I stopped in at Rosie's shop and introduced myself. She was absolutely lovely in every way and took pity on me, a poor "street walker" at that time. ;-)
Friday on our last trip into town I went by to chat with her one more time, snap this picture, and say good-bye.
BTW - - - isn't that picture of the red Wisconsin barn in the background AWESOME??? I really wanted to buy it, but managed to resist the temptation.

Ahh, I love the smell of new-mown hay! And the picture of the barn caught my eye, too.
Wisconsin in the summer. It'll happen again. It almost always does.
Loved your cute commentary :) Of course, I have similar experiences on a daily basis. I love Wisconsin.
Love your pics. Looks like you had a wonderful relaxing outing. Thanks so much for dropping by my blog, your words of praise mean so much. Diane
I'm not tired of your picturesd! I loved your comment on my corned beef post ... I've read several accounts regarding the Irish and corned beef in my food history studies. The earkt Irish immigrants prefered their spiced ham or spiced bacon, but couldn't afford that ... so they settled for the corned beef brisket! I like it all!
Thanks for commenting on Marcia's blog and for praying for her! I feel for her right now. Her body is going through so much...WAY TOO MUCH! Please keep praying for her and that she can come back home soon. Thank you Keetha! Looks like you are enjoying Wisconsin! That's great!
Funny post.. lovely setting. I would have bought the barn.. and I think you really need to find a less congested road to travel.
Oh the flower is not cheese.. but I could carve one out of cheese. It is just plain old potpouri from Home Goods.
Think I got it.. let me know if not.. thanks you saved this newbie. Oh saw your followed a 65 Roses.. my dear four year old granddaughter also has CF.. I hate that stinkin disease!
Funny how meeting blogging friends or friends of blogging friends always ends up with a little story and a photo - and of course, lots of smiles :)
Hi Keetha...
Ohhh...and to think that you are able to enjoy this kind of beautiful scenery every day now, my friend! Lucky lady!!! Well we do share a few of the niceties (sp?) of country life! We never have to worry about busy traffic...unless you count Wednesdays when the farmers are taking their cattle into the showbarn! Hehe! And...we do have a few nice big trees...but they are mostly pine! Ohh my...but it is sooo lush and green up your way! I do love that!!!
How nice...that you were able to meet your blogging friend's mother! She looks like a sweet gal and the red barn print is gorgeous! Thank you, Keetha...for sharing more of your wonderful Wisconsin vacation with us...this really has been a treat! Hmmm...I'm wondering what you will run for next Sunday...now that your Wisconsin series is finished??? I'm looking forward to finding out, dear friend! Thanks for joining in with the fun of SF's once again!!!
Have a wonderful week, Girlfriend!

What a great state you live in. I enjoyed this post very much and the painting of the barn was really nice. Hope you have a great week.
Wisconsin is one of he few States that I haven't visited - yet.
It does look like our kind of place, who doesn't love old red barns?
It is so gorgeous there. I must get there sometime. You and sis resemble each other. Cute pics.
